Does anyone have some up to date info on conditions or good spots to access for touring in the north-central Gaspe Peninsula? I'm thinking of going Tuesday-Thursday the coming week.

I've been looking at the weather and the Avalanche Canada bulletins, but hoping to build up as much info as I can!

Mostly looking for access points, also what might be a good place to stay?

I don't have much info but check out @ skifelix on insta, he seems to go touring almost every day. Also my bro [tag=185400]@TBONE902[/tag] may have info on where to stay and shit

Yeah, have been in contact with Felix before!

Thanks for the info!

I think the conditions are super rough there right now with some recent rain and temps going down to around -20 this week. I’d say stay in the park at the camping cabins, but i’d wait til there’s more snow up there before making the trip

Yeah based on the weather we have decided to wait.

Nice - hope ya can make it up there soon, I have honestly decided to not go til March or later in the spring for snow conditions and better weather. Pick up the Ski Chic Chocs guide book at the info centre when you're up there, has a lot of the common spots with good maps and route descriptions, and I think it comes in an English version now haha
