Im just curious how much gas is where you guys are and if the price has gone up lately. I used to be paying 2.75 for regular about a week and a half ago and now everything is over $3.00. Someone told me that it is like $3.25+ in parts of upstate new york but i dont know if i believe that.

p.s. i dont know if someone posted something like this already, i didnt find anything in the search bar.

Yeah. I've noticed a spike in prices here in California. I want to say the Shell my friend filled up at was $3.27. But credit and the foothill location raises the price. I paid $3.20 give or take a few cents at a cheap station on Friday.

Arco FTW for the commuter ski bum on a budget.
I paid $3.20 in the foothills up by Auburn for premium
And its $3.54 for premium in the city, which doesn't fly.

But arco gas is pretty shitty.

Ah dude, to be honest I know people who swear against Arco, Costco, etc. but I also know people who tell me that all gas comes from the same place. I don't give a shit, so I fill ip at the cheapest place with 87 fuel. I'll have to try 91 sometime and see if I notice a difference.

Filling up with 91 from Arco won't really make a difference thats noticeable while you're driving.
I usually buy gas from shitty stations around SF, but I always make sure to fill up with 91 from Chevron or Shell from time to time and my tank always seems to last a bit longer, and my car drives a bit better when I do. Thats just me though.

/jealous.

Around 1,50 euro per liter in the Netherlands.

That's roughly 2 dollars per liter.

So over here we pay around 7,57 dollar per US Gallon.

But we pay around 71.93 eurocents per liter on fueltax, and then we have 19% extra tax on that.

Yup same here. I always go to the same station because it stays consistently lower than most other stations

Its about the same in SLC right now, for 85, i get at least 87 so like 2.99ish was my last fill up.

Where the $#@% in California do you live and it's that cheap?! (I'm driving home to Cali very soon for Christmas break and should this be on my way home I will stop in that gas-station area as to acquire some cheap gas)
Eastern NM = $2.86 per gallon

Holy shit...that's cheap...We pay 1.5€ per litre.

That would be 5.6€ per gallon, which is like 6.5-7$...consider yourself lucky over there... That's twice as much lmao

The double price discrepancies at the pump are a result of subsidies and tax incentives. Overall we pay the same, just less upfront, more on the back end. There are also environmental costs that need to be considered. I'd say we're getting pretty screwed in that column. And lets not forget the military costs for keeping oil fields secure. When you look beyond the out-of-pocket-at-the-pump-fill-up expense Americans get the short end of the stick just so you Europeans can drive down your cobblestones. you're welcome. god bless america.

I paid like $3.11 yesterday in Southern Maine. Shit's getting so expensive... I remember being in the car with my mom as a youngin' and her freaking out about gas being 2 bucks when we were on a trip to Rhode Island.

yea we had a real cheap gas decade in the 1990's

hopefully it'll crash again just like in the 30's and 80's

I remember when it used to be like 1.75 or 1.50 and everybody went out and bought hummers. And then gas shot up to three bucks and everybody started walking and selling their h2's
