This was kind of answered in another thread but I would really appreciate an expl, anation of this to help spinning fs, or just stopping your rotation. which foot do you point down/up?

for frontside spinning - right foot forward, pull your right toes up and push your left toes down.

and backside- right foot forward, push right toes down, pretty much keep left ski level, pull toes up a bit.

when you do this make sure to keep your shoulders at 90 or even past 90 to set that swap nicely and then bring your shoulders around and then hop and you should have it

now thats the easy way to predzel out some thing. you need to bring your front foot down , like some guys has mention higher . but you can also bring your back foot up to , just more grip for the spin out and whit time you wont need to bring that front foot has far down , like other brothers or doing and are looking the flamingos or karate kid at his final combat . make sure you keep your shoulders and head looking up the rail which helps stopping the rotation from the spin onget the picture ? let me know if u got more question on this...peace

I'm sorry but I'm going to have disagree with you on this point. When I was learning pretzels I used to always do this. Look up the rail or box and desperately try to stop the rotation and pretzel out. However, after carefully studying many videos of the some of the greatest pretzlers in the game I realized this wasn't the way to do it. One you've landed your 2 in or blind switch up wtv and you've got your downhill foot gripping you want to turn your head and shoulders as much as you can towards the end of the rail without loosing your grip of course. This does two things: it allows you to see where you're going so you know when to initiate you pretzel spin and you don't have to do it blind or guess. Also, it winds up your body which allows you to spin faster and smoother in the opposite direction.
Watch this video at 1:08 or any of Tom's or another great pretzeler's vids and watch their heads and where they look.

ya , but once you get my technique , the predzel come more and more natural and looks better . and you gonna be able to predzel super long rails... for sure you need a little gas pedal but its not only that , im tring to teach some one who has a hard time predzelling and who doesnt see it quite yet in is head.dont forget that people ask questions on this cult to lurn tricks...
and are you comparing your self to tom wallish? hes on a way higher level than you and me and no one can compare to a master. people dont even understand his way of doing thing some times...no diss

lol I'm not comparing myself to him, just trying to learn from him. I'm just saying, if he's the best and that's how he does it, then why not try and do it like him?

i have to say, blindside's technique worked best for me. when i was first learning pretzels i couldnt get them because i looked up and i wouldnt get the full 270, just about 250 or 240 which didnt allow me to get all the way around to get a good push on the box. as soon as i allowed myself to relax and look at the end of the rail, then drop that edge, i gave myself some room to push myself around the other way. with that said, everybody's different. maybe if you are having trouble stopping yourself at only 270 then frank's technique can work for you. if you cant get the pretz 2 around then maybe mine and blindside's technique will work.
