Mint is invasive it will take over everything near it, be super careful it will totally wipe out the adjacent basil

its gardening-adjacent right? anyways, building irrigation systems is kinda starting to grow on me but that will soon end when it comes an absolute nightmare

Absolute monster. what else do you grow you seem good at it

I’m growing some little tomatoes and some pumpkins but the zucchini was the only especially big one. The veggie bed is fully grown in now, I’ll post a pic when there’s light Tomorrow

What kinda tomatoes? Are you interested in selling them to me to make sauce yum

Just got back from a week in Oregon, been too much travel this summer so not much of a garden but 2 apple trees, pear and peach tree keeps me busy, have spent past 2 days catching up cleaning up fallen apples, pulling weeds, burning shit….

but while in Oregon, my in-laws garden motivated me to keep on doing what I’m doing, digging holes and throwing in a bunch of compostables (mostly hella apples), over time I’ll have an abundance of killer soils and compost (teas)

my garden was a complete bust this year. Got some asparagus, zuchinis aren't getting pollinated I guess, and deer ate all my tomatos. Have some peppers that are doing decent.

You gotta get em when they’re like 4 to 5 inches for max flavor. Sometimes that means harvesting twice a day, zucchini is crazy

This zucchini was actually super flavorful. We ended up throwing it into the grill and it came out delicious

If you’re gonna get chickens get em from a hatchery that doesn’t clip the beaks. They do it so the chicks don’t peck each other in the hatchery but it kinda messes the chicken up later when it needs its beak to graze. Speaking from experience
