Gaper Day

With COVID and everything going around this year, I really hope that the infamous gaper days will still be occurring. Getting together with a bunch of buddies and going wild is some of the most fun ive ever had on skis.

It was, it was like 65 degrees at Sundance, Utah.... if only i could turn back time i would in a heartbeat

i might need to start one of them up here, just need to find some homies....

Alright it's official. All the Big Sky homies we're doing gaper day this Saturday. It's supposed to be like 50 degrees! Cmon if you don't come dressed as a gaper, you really are the biggest gaper of them all.

this is all in an hypothetical sense but if i were going to go to gaper day, maybe at say a mountain like PC or something, i would hypothetically stash beer in the woods days prior to Gaper day and closing day because there might hypothetically be security guards checking peoples bags in the liftline for alcohol,

Had the strangest day of spring skiing I've ever had on Sunday. Went up to rip some janky Ontario resort, while it was warm as hell (65F 17Cish). It was gonna be my last day of the season, so I brought out the jorts and the pit vipers. Despite the heat, and I was sweating in shorts and a tshirt, everyone else there was bundled up in heavy ski jackets/pants/gloves, and I got more weird looks then I ever have before. I guess not everyone understands spring skiing.

Always makes me chuckle when its 55 and sunny and people are in 3L waterproof jackets and a puffy (fully unzipped looking miserable). I'm like you know skiing is a higher output activity than going for a walk and pretty sure you would not be wearing clothes used to summit Everest if you were taking your dog for a stroll right now.
