BEcause it was David's idea(he's been working on it for nearly 5years) and his sponsors paid over six figures to get that jump built.

Jon copied his idea and skiers got to ride the same style jump in his invitational.
 
Ummm... no? Jon's jump this year was a copy of the one he did the previous year, just bigger and one jump instead of two.
 
what the hells a double cok isnt it just like u go off the jump and do a cork 1260 wtf i dont gte it but that shit was so sweet skiers need to hit that
 
the big question is what did they do with all the snow after? i think if they just left it there there would still be some there right now. and it would probably have created like a massive flood too. but that is fucking crazy
 
that was soo sick......the idea was great. See...that is exactly what Mike Wilson was talking about all this time. Building HUGE safe jumps. Not just show up and some jo jack is building this huge booter with no landing. When your looking at building jumps that size, its life or death. If the landing is even just a foot off, well you die. There is soo much math and physics in there....its just crazy.

umm...no. watch the documentary. David has been trying to build that jump for many years, with several attempts before Jon's.

Give credit where credit is due.
 
why don't you re-read that and try again. the post your quoted was in reference to jon's jump only. saying that this year jon build a larger single jump, instead of the two jumps last year. and jon based this years jump off of the snowboards jump.
