Why do we all try to be a ganster skier, like most likely if we ski, and didnt steal our skis, then we clearly have money, esp if we can afford to buy a season pass. Im def somebody who trys to be ganster myself, like i dont wear tall tees, but if i hit a handrail I'll show up wearing a flat brim hat with a sticker on it. And i just want to find out, whats the obsession with acting ganster? Like im in montana right now, i came from the east right south of boston, and kids out here who try to be ganster, then when the season ends go hunting confuse me. I just want to know whats up?

I think Colby James West an John Symms started it. Could be wrong though, only been around for like this season. It's just a trend. Tight pants, chokers, and water-resistant leather next season. Guarantee, i saw next years Oakley Catalog.

Dude you gotta open your mind man. Where gangsta's on skis. Up on the mountain the young kids like us are usually the broke ones. The ones who bring up sack lunches or steal shit from the hill's cafeteria or deli. The ones bumming rides at the bottom of the canyon, or bumming food off of others.
 
Honestly i was thinking about this earlier i feel that skiers were tired of being hated on and having the racer rep so we started dressing more thug and making shure we stood out from the crowd

Since when have real thugs worn bright coloured pants, jackets, and goggles? This is just baggy clothes, the style itself isn't really gangster. Bandanas were used by cowboys before gangsters anyways.
The gang signs and all that are just jokes too (they better be). Kinda like a satire on our own image. And it's fun. That's the reason I think.
 
the skier community is the dopest community there is dont gimme that gangster shit just because we like rap and dress baggy. everybodys so dope and always is stoked on kids trying to get better, always supportive, and always fun to kick it with ive never met a skier i dont like kicking it with.
 
most skiers arent smart enough to even know what satire means, let alone how to employ it.

its because people started doing it long ago, and others followed. plain as that.
 
you should shut up. there are just as many if not more skiers who wear clothes that fit them properly or even smaller that rip just as hard if not harder than skiers with big clothes.
 
This, I do flash the occasional gang sign, but only as a joke. Baggy stuff is a lot more comfortable and looks smoother too.
 
no im saying there are kids with tight clothes and normal clothes that are just as good if not better than the skiers that wear bigger clothes
 
Gangster is an attitude. Look up gangster in the dictionary. It probably doesn't fit your pathetic idea of what one is.

I'm a gangster, fuck being anything else. Perhaps you should rock a mullet and a def leppard t-shirt, whitebread.
 
cause I'm straight G son.. haha nah I don't dress gangsta or even talk like it but on the mountain I like to dress baggy cause it's the image of freeskiing right now, I like to dress that way on the mountain and it hides imprefections in our motions..
 
haha i do hate all the kids who try SOO hard to be gangster i dont even wear bandanas. people try so hard and end up looking SOO dumb. nothin like seein rich white kids trying to be gangster i HATE it! it pisses me off like no other!!!! the tight pants thing is gay to
 
i think skiing is fun and you should do whatever you think is fun me personally i like to wear baggy clothes i dont act gangster but i wear baggy clothes if you think its fun to look like a 12 year old girl in tight jeans then thats what you should do
