Gagnier's wierd railslide things in Whiteshine

Ok, gagnier does these wierd things on boxes and rails where he drags he back foot behind him on the rail. What are these called? And I tried to do them on a mailbox and each time I try it, my fot just catches and pulls my ski off the rail.
 
i guess it's pretty well accepted to call that a royale now, but if it's what i'm thinking of it definitely shouldn't be called that...in rollerblading a royale is not like that, you would call what he does a UFO. or a new name, for all you people that think rollerblading is "gay" and say skiers aren't influenced by it at all (even though several pros rollerblade- david chrichton, iannick b, etc)
 
Whiteshine is really good. I didn't like it that much at first, but it's one of my favorites now.

Thanks for the help. I can't do one on a real rail cause my mountain is gay and won't get one. What about a down box?
 
Call it a broken and they are really fun to do. Especially when it starts to catch and stuff... Haha amazing.

The pic skierman posted isn't exactly what's in whiteshine. What Gagnier does is just a normal slide with his front foot, with the back foot dragging behind on the inside edge. they look cool, and I wouldn't classify them as gay like one footers.
 
You dont't know shit about rollerblading....Why everybody try to give a name to this trick??? In rollerblade we call that a farven nugen

Charles invented this trick so he don't want to be associated whit rollerblade so HE called that a BROKEN.
 
lately i've heard it called a broken, but i remember ahmet and giray dadali doing them 2 or 3 years ago and calling them royales (yeah, that's right, they were ahead of everyone).

in other news, whiteshine is the best ski movie ever.
 
thats a UFO

broken is when you drag your back foot (like gagnier in whiteshine)

fastslide is when you lift up your backfoot (the one uphill)

backslide is when you lift up your frontfoot (the one downhill)
 
i was actually tryin some brokens on a narrow box rail tonight. they felt good. i also got xd up backslides down. and if you think they are gay, your stupid.
