Lexan is the best, but it's expensive. What most resorts use

A lot of people use HDPE as an alternative, as it's almost as good as lexan, and you can get it for much cheaper.

Other alternatives are puckboard, which is what hockey rinks use for the boards. It slides well, and you can usually get it for free if you go to a hockey rink that changes their boards and keeps the old ones, or has replaced them recently.

I have also heard of other thinks that don't work as well as those top 3, such as formica countertop and PVC sheeting, which is fairly soft, and chips a lot easier. Those top 3 are your best bets. Join Build-a-jib which has all this info, and a lot more
