Fulltilts...hype or truth..?

Just because it's old doesn't mean it's shit. Look at the fks. That heel is a pretty old design, and people still think it's the best binding ever. Same with old salomons bindings. You could find a lot of people bitter over salomon dropping the all metal goodness that was the 916 and its predecessors. And to man above, Seth got a pro model boot from full tilt. I think it's safe to say he's getting paid. But again, Seth was on raichle's before.

And to emphasize a very important point: Boot fitting on the internet= useless.

my bad this is the first ive heard of them paying their skiers.

cobra full tilts are sick. theres nothing wrong with them. theyre mad light, really comfy, very responsive, and theyre fuckin sexy.

If you think a fulltilt is responsive, I suggest you get a real boot, it will blow your mind

Also they fall apart like crazy, thats the reason people stockpiled them, because they keep having to replace parts/shell. Why do you think they sell parts online? Because they break so damn often.

Also the plastic used in full tilts is worthless, it is so soft that your (non-replaceable) lugs will be kaput in no time.

I fit boots for a living, I have had plenty of people come in asking for them, because of two reasons: a) they swore by the old flexons, or b) they were sold by the hype (often jibbers), It has never taken me more then 5 minutes to convince them that there are way better boots avalible (I rarely have to get to the shape of the boot/foot). I work in a shop that stands by our fit, meaning if you don't like what we sell you bring it back and we will either fix it or take the product back. I have never had some one bring back the boot I sold them instead of fulltilts. That includes the people I converted over from flexions.

As for the sexy part, I don't have a ski boot fetish.

okay...so i went to 3 different ski shops, and they were terrible, didnt no what they were talking about, im a skier that loves big air the pipe, urban and rails and charging the mountian and rippin threw pow, so what are the best boot brands, and i dont want hype, i want light durable and comfortable, i haf a long skinny foot and small ankles and claves, chicken legs, so if you could throw out some brands for nex time i go to a ski shop..(tommorow) i would appreciate it...

I hear ya man. I too have terribly small legs, NO arch, skinny, long-ass feet.

It's really too bad that there are so many shops out there that are bad boot-fitters.

Good luck on your search!

considering the fact i have a skinny foot and only ride park, full tilts work fine. spks wont fit because theyre too wide, dalbello il moros have that shitty strap that always breaks, and im not paying for krypton pros. until im proven wrong, im gonna keep using full tilts.

and to the guy who made this thread, if you have enough money, krypton pros are filthy and narrow.

unlike the fullshits which only have three cables that allways break...

I am done with this thread, kids buy hype way to much on here.

ive just started to hear about these full tilts. it seems like everyone i talk to says they are great. and that they are the next generation of ski boot, although they are really the generation before now.

if i could try em out i would, and i dont doubt that i would like them

For the record, after 6 years of using this boot, I have never once broken a cable. That has to be at least 300 days of use. Nor do I ever hear of people having that problem.

The buckles do break down and need to be replaced, so that can be a pain, but never had one single issue with a cable.

you my friend are a complete idiot. Boots are all personal preference.

Spk's for me however are the most comfortable boot i have ever worn. Although i haven't tried on full tilts yet.

is the krypton just glen plakes version of a raichle? i have no experiance with ft, this is just what i heard.
