Full Tilts for Beginner/Intermediate?

Would you recommend Full Tilts for a female who has been skiing ~10 times?

I have a pair of Konflicts from many seasons ago, and my main concern is that you need to be stronger to ski them, as they don't offer as much support as traditional ski boots. Granted, you gain an amount of maneuverability that, in my opinion, is very worth it, I'm not sure this would be the best gear choice for a relative beginner.

Thoughts?

No, unless your going to be hitting big cliffs or jumps. You probably wont need support if your riding greens and blues. I've been riding for about 4-5 years and i ride on some crappy Salomon boots. just pick up some decent cheap used boots. Maybe check out this website, it may seem sketchy but I've used it for decent gear for great prices http://galacticsnowsports.com/

Heres a link to some boots i would recommend on that site

I truly hope that this helped

Hoping to get some opinions of people who have beginner experience in their Full Tilts.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

No problem, but im just saying there is no point. Your dont need to be super stylish when your not very good.

If they fit, use them. A good fitting boot is beneficial whether you are just learning to ski greens or ripping the whole mountain.

If you find the boot too stiff, then you can always swap the tongue out for a softer one.

It does not matter what type of boot you get. It depends on whether your boots fit more than what kind.

?

If the boots fit why not wear them? There is no point in buying a cheaper used pair. Good boots aren't exclusively for good skiers.

Also, buying boots online is not a great idea. You have no way of knowing if they actually fit.

i am a girl and i wear full tilts... but i use them because they fit me and were not hand me down boots. If they fit her get her new liners for them that way they can mold them to her foot not yours

Yes, if they fit her, they will be fine. However, konflicts have a stiff tongue, so it would probably not be a bad idea to get some softer ones on here

I have FT's, and I love them. I love them because they fit my feet. Go to a shop and have her try on boots and find what fits, and then order online I guess.

I've been about 15 times and I consider myself intermediate/advanced and I have some Booters and they rock. My feet are wide and flat and I've had a tuff time finding boots that fit right and I noticed a huge difference my first day skiing with them but the main reason is because they FIT my feet perfectly. I got really lucky because I actually bought them from a fellow newschooler without trying them on first which is a huge gamble.

There are a handful of posts in this thread that are full retard. If youre a newb dont offer advice to other newbs

As most have said, if they fit thats all that matters. Too stiff? Switch out the tongues, problem solved

i got my full tilts more of less when i was a beginner. They didnt make me start stomping dubs like i was lead to believe but they fit good and are comfortable which helps anyone beginner or not. Skiing is much more fun when your boots dont hurt.

Nothing discourages new skiers more than ill fitting boots. Please take your friend to a bootfitter to get a nice setup, even if you're buying some used ones.

Absolutely beautiful. Brought a tear to my eye.

But for reals, if you're not still growing there's no reason to buy shit boots now, knowing that when you get better you're gonna get better boots, 'cause that would be wasting money (and ski bums can't afford to do that.) But don't go for FT's unless you're planning on really progressing a lot and becoming a very serious skier, 'cause there are many solid intermediate choices for much less moneys.

or you could just heat them up again instead of spending 200 dollars. and OP, if you dont want stupid answers dont ask stupid questions

I've been 15 times usually on the mountain 4-5 times each time i've gone so I've got around 50 days actually skiing. I used to really be in to skating so it came pretty naturally to me and I was going down blacks and hitting boxes on my first day, so yeah i do consider myself intermediatte/advanced now considering that was 49 ski days ago. Thanks for being a dick though...I lived in Oklahoma til about a week ago so I didn't really have the option of going more than that. I'm actually moving to CO to work just so I can be closer to the mountains. I've been hooked every since my first time and it's actually my favorite thing to do. I play basically every sport and still play golf/beach volleyball/softball competitively because I'm actually pretty athletic and had some offers from JUCO schools to play tennis or wrestle but had to many injuries in highschool and wanted to go to a D1 school because I had a full ride academic scholarship as well.

That doesn't have much significance to your skill. Realistically, anyone can go down "blacks" on their first day, as well as doing boxes. It's called having basic balance.

Also, where do you ski? Blacks at some mountains are blues or even greens at others.
