So about 5-6 years ago, I purchased my first pair of Full Tilt's. Being in college at the time, this was a huge purchase for me as boots are very expensive. I've been relatively happy with them, and have used them ever since. Swapping out parts as they broke, or pulling parts off old raichle boots I've found at a thrift shop. But, for the last six years, they have hurt.

Ive always just thought it was due to it being a skinny footbed. But at the start of this ski season I put them back on, and the pain had gotten too much. At this point I was thinking I might start looking into another pair, as I was having to quit skiing early because of the pain. At the end of one frustrating day, I decided I couldn't do it anymore and tried to figure out what the problem was. I pulled out the liner, looked around, wore them without the shell and noticed they fit much nicer. At this point I just happen to glance into the shell, and found this.http://imgur.com/qCdnUw4

I have no idea what these are, or where they came from. But I have been standing on them for 5- 6 years of pain. At first I was relieved as I have found the source of my pain, but then I got a little mad that its been there so long. So I emailed Full Tilt customer service about this, and they responded saying pretty much "cool story bro."

Cool story bro.

Did you buy Full Tilts because they fit well or because they were Full Tilts?

They actually fit fine, if anything they are too loose around the shin. It was just the whole standing on a screw thing that hurt.

Wait...?

For 5 or 6 years you never took out your liner to let it dry? They must smell so bad!

Wait..?

You take your liners out to dry? Shit Im proud if I even take them out of the car after Im done..

After reading that i almost instantly responded with- you should get a toe punch/stretch shell wherever it hurts until I saw that pic. Lol those were pretty gnarly looking and I bet they hurt a lot

What do you expect Full Tilt to do? The boots are 5-6 years old......well past the warrantee. Plus it was just a bolt and screw that fell in during the manufacturing, so it's not like they would give you a new pair.

You should have been expecting a cool story bro.

If I was full tilt I would of banned you from ever buying a new pair of full tilt boots for being a fucking retard

That is an old rivet head and washer. You said you had replaced a few parts on the boots so presumably at one point either the shop doing the work or you dropped the old parts into the shell when changing somthing. Pretty easy to do and almost certainly not full tilts issue.
