Full Tilt shutting down

Sad to see it go but the team seems really sincere instead of sad. K2 might be able to make the same boots but I don’t think they will have the same energy, love of the sport or community focus of FT:/

People really to look into anything before they post do they? This is at least the third thread on this on top of a news article.

before full tilt it was Raichle who made the same boot. FullTilt just bought the three pice boot design so k2 is taking over Fulltilt k2 will most defiantly keep it and if they don't it would be a stupid decision.

Eh. Haven't opened NS the past few days. Delete this thread if you wish [tag=38820]@eheath[/tag]

I guess I don’t really understand the logic of dissolving perhaps the most prolific freestyle boot brand

I don’t either but the more I think about it the more I think it might actually be a positive for skiing.

It would expose more people to 3 piece boots that probably previously just thought of them as specific to more newschool brands. Roxa and Dalbello are the only other 3 piece manufacturers I can think of and Dalbello’s 3 piece line is specifically marketed to just freeskiers it seems.

So maybe more skiers will be open to riding 3 piece boots due to the huge recognition K2 has. Idk.

My guess is they want to consolidate the lineup, save money, rebuild the k2 brand, tons of things could be going on.

It does feel like K2 has been trying to rebuild themselves over the last few years. In my progressive opinion it's more or less getting better but I dont really know shit

Hopefully the quality will improve. I've never seen any footwear fall apart as quickly as the Drop Kick.

Interesting, I'm going into my 8th season in some Classic shells. One of the sick things about FTs is that you can easily replace parts such as buckles, tongues, heel pads etc.. I haven't really noticed any quality issues at this point.
