Full Tilt Replacement Cable Question

Hey ya'll, crazy this websites still around, maybe I can get some good help here?

I'm trying to replace the cables on my full tilt 2014 dropkicks. Due to FT being consolidated into K2 its kinda a pain to find.

According to the Full Tilt size guide I need a 265mm cable. Evo has a size 275mm and 285mm. Will either of those options work? There are also size like 90-210mm that I could get but I'm assuming that's way far off. Are full tilt cables more or less universal and the sizing isn't really crucial like everyone says or am I gonna need that EXACT cable?

The k2 cables should be up on our site before Christmas. Turns out the supply chain issues are actually very real and things have taken a little longer to arrive than we planned.

The k2 cable you want will be the revolver cable and we have all the sizes that were available before so you will be able to get exactly what you need.
 
Yeah that 275mm cable will probably work, but you won't be able to crank it near as tight as the 265mm when it's on the last click for the track. If you measure your track in cm it'll show you how much adjustment room you have. If your track has 2 cm of travel for example, then when its at 1cm in then it's like the first click on the 265mm cable.

Make sense?

Honestly, it might be worth hitting up K2 customer service. I emailed them a month ago about some replacement soles and they found them on Evo. Though, they mentioned they were getting parts in around December.

hell yeah! This is a throwback to the glory days of NS getting a response like this one from someone in the know.

EDIT: Doubt it matters but it looks like I have the 2015 dropkicks, not the 2014, don't think that changes anything

I'll run voile straps and wait till Christmas. I'm going to stock up too because who knows if you'll keep making them now that its K2. So I want just the K2 Revolver Cable? Or am I gonna need to select the K2 Revolver in 265mm?

I’ll find you the exact part number tomorrow when I’m on my work laptop. I also built out a cable length finder tool so I’ll double check the size you need and any other options.

As for us discontinuing them no fear there, I have zero plans to have that shell disappear from the lineup.

Sweet homie! I just edited my post I actually have the 2015 Dropkicks (the neon yellow ones) don't think that changes anything. I'm riding pow tomorrow so I can just reach out on Tuesday when I'm back at work myself. :)
 
If you have a decent ski shop nearby, they usually have all the spare parts available even though they don't list them anywhere.

Worth giving a call!
 
looking at evo for specific parts, come on man! You know we got you at Slope Style. I bet I have some 265 or 255 cables in stock, I'm off til wednesday but if ya can message me wednesday to remind me I'll get ya some.

This is correct. But only when the cables are brand new. I’ve had my cables “stretch out” from the force and eventually snap again.

so OP I wouldn’t be super concerned your smaller cable is going to stretch out or snap anyway. That’s if you rock your boots tight.

They should be online soon or call customer service, or hit up Slopestyle I bet they can hook you up even quicker.
