Full tilt problems

The other day I rode my friends full tilt drop kicks. They fit good and felt super good except for whenever I knuckled a jump. It felt like my shins were breaking. Has anyone else has this problem? Is it because they don't fit right?

Shin pain when knuckeling is probably down to either the boot being too big or if it was the correct size there may be too much volume over the instep, either way it does not sound like a good fit but it's never going to be if your just wearing someone else's boots.

If your in the market for boots ignore what anyone else rides and go get fitted. Try the boots which te fitter selects and do not ask to try certain boots if he does not suggest them. If he does not suggest them they are not a good oprio so don't waste your time concentrate on the boots which are a possibility.

The he most important part of any fit is the footbeds. I always suggest full custom and I Very much urge you to go this route. Don't try to save money on footbeds if any thing get a cheaper boot.

Better to go a little far then short. your shins will hurt less.

Maybe try a Booster strap instead of the stock power strap to really tighten up the top of that boot as well.

I would actually say it's better to go slightly toI small then too big. You can always get boots blown and punched out but there is no effective way to make them smaller.

That was in reference to hitting jumps not the boot size. Haha.

I do agree with you on a little small on the boot!

inb4 go to a boot fitter

Boots are shit unless they are meant for your feet. I ski in a racing/touring hybrid boot for park & backcountry. Don't buy into any of the damn marketing and go to a bootfitter. They will find a boot that fits you and do everything you want, full tilts aren't for everyone. Be the odd one out and start a new trend, I promise you'll ski like a wizard too after the bootfitter ;)
