ok so i have never gotten shin bang before i got my full tilts, my feet always hurt when i ski now. is it just because there new boots or am i doing something wrong.
well first u needa make sure ur feet are the right size for the boot. the problem for you could happen if theyre too tight or too loose and maybe ur foot is sliding inside the boot a bit. i had a problem where the side of my foot was hurting and turns out my boot was a bit too big and the little bit of sliding cause the side of my foot to hurt, after i got a special bottom insole now the pain is gone. If ur calf is bigger than normal or not, either way try keeping the bottom straps normally tighten but loosen the top ones just a bit. having them too loose at the top could cause the same problem. u should have heat molded ur liners if theyre full tilts so they should have a good snug fit, make sure theyre arent small gaps of space inside ur boot. ur problem is probably not happening from landing back seat tho...
I have the same boot and have had a similar issue.
Try cranking the middle buckle down further/tighter so the pressure on your shin is better distributed along the length of the shin bone. The top strap, top buckle and middle buckle should all be working together to keep even pressure on your shin.
Have you had them properly heat molded in an oven?
Minor threadjack: I bought a pair of Hot Doggers off of NS, and they were heat-molded once, and I was wondering if I got them re-molded to my feet, in a shop, would the liners be good as new? There will not be any evidence of the last guy's feet once re-molded, right?
This is I think the biggest myth on NS. If a liner has been packed out by a foot, then remolding it may change it for a day or so, but it will just pack right out again. Once a liner has been skied in there is no way to make it like new unfortunately.
