Okay I know this should be in GT but more people will see it here. The shop got our shipment of FTs in today and all of the boots were fin and the displays all buckled. Except for the Booter the middle buckle would not stay down the spring kept pushing the buckle back out of the slot. anybody care to explain? where new to FTs and im wondering if its just us. Also the reps coming in sunday for a clinic co if u guys cant answer ill be back to tell you whatsup

It's probably because that middle buckle has some elasticity to it so without the pressure of the boot pulling it it just doesn't stay down. Has anyone tried putting the buckle on with the boot on?

FINE, I understand that you're trying to keep it casual. That said, on Newschoolers.com, WE'RE starting to take grammar seriously, and I just CAN'T let an OP from a ski shop slide. You're SO going down. Grammar: IT'S no joke.

were going to but if a customer comes in and looks at FTs i might as well know. So figured id ask NS.

rep came into the shop today say theyll have the problem solved tomorrow and unfortunately we were among the first shops to get them in and anything shipped out beyond that shipment will be in working order

the all of the buckles can come undone if they aren't under tension. The middle one is the most prone too. The old buckles had springs that automatically held them open and the new ones hold them closed.

None of it affects it when you have the boots on though.

I just opened mine up from delivery. The middle buckle doesn't stay. I'm wondering if moving the buckle back to the second hole will help. I'm about to ask full tilt. The boots look sweet, are mad light and comfy, but the buckle just doesn't hold. I guess that's the price for style and being trendy...

Just called up full tilt. There's a kit, and I'm sure ppl have heard, that dealers had to install. During the production process, a wedge wasn't installed underneath the middle buckle, such that the angle would be increased with the kit. It requires me to call up the-house.com and straighten it out. Anywho, if you read this and are considering buying from the-house, make sure they installed the buckle kit. Otherwise, it.will.not.buckle...and that's annoying, especially mail order style. Totally ruined my plan to avoid sales tax, if I'm going to have to pay for this to be shipped out.

full tilt re-called the booters and the tom wallisch pro's from my shop. the same thing was happening with that, too.

i have the same full tilts you guys are talking about and that DID happen to me but when u tighten all the other buckles up really tight it wont do that anymore its because that buckle doesnt have enough tension

they're full tilts don't have to expect full preformance just accept any piece of shit they come out wiht because ns likes them

I moved the buckle back a set of holes and it solved the issue. FT sent a bunch of spacers to our shop and now they are fine

There was a slight problem with the Booter, High Five and Mary Jane boots. By now all the boots should be fixed and working great!

So, I went to move the buckle back on mine, and a phillips head screw driver would open one buckle on one boot but not on the other. It look almost as the threading in it corkscrews downward? What screwdriver head is this? +K for answer.

dude when i was getting my booters fitted they were doing the EXACT same thing. the shop keeper adjusted the fine adjustment (twisting the buckle) on that buckle and the top one (i think he loosened the middle one and tightened the top one, but i'm not sure.). Try playing around the fine adjustment like that, my middle buckles stopped popping out after.

fuck, i just recieved my new booters, and they got this exact problem.. anyone know if i move the buckle back, it will fix the problem just as good as the wedge-fix? because that would be a lot easier than shipping the boots to the shop were i bought them..

Went to the shop and they molded/inserted the wedge for free. The boots are mad legit now. Go to your local shop where you bought them and they should repair it for free.

To move the buckle back should i just unscrew it or do i need to do anything else? I know i sound super dumb but when i use a screw driver it kinda just slips out and the last thing i want to do is strip the head of the screw help= +k
