Full tilt 28.5 to a 27.5 a big difference?

So i broke the shell on my High Fives (28.5).Which fit perfect for reference. Have been looking for a replacement but slim to none on that. But there is tons of 27.5's around right now reasonably priced.I know its not the same shell,but was wondering if it's a big difference in fit? Like am I gonna suffer toe bang really bad? +K for help and any suggestions. Thanks
 
Its an 8mm shell size difference, it really depends on if your foot fits or not. Some people can hop around sizes no problem, and for others it'll feel weird and cause injury on occasion. I would personally try to stick to the size that fits, but if you're going down that much, go to a shop and try on a 27.5.

tldr; Try on 27.5s at a shop, but try to still use 28.5 if they fit
 
thank for the advice. the only shop in my town dosen't sell them or i would. maybe someone on the hill will let me try them on lol. idk
 
If it came down to it you can put your old liner into a smaller shell and it helps a little bit, not dying that it will make a big difference. But that's what I did when I went from a 27 to a 26.5. Also heat molding with gigantic toe caps will provide a tiny bit more room
 
If you are lucky enough to be in a boot which fits perfectly (if it really does), stay with it. Save up and get a new pair.
 
What boots do your shop sell? You will be far better off going to get fitted in a shop then to guess at your size and buy online. Buying from a shop will offer a comfort guarantee and they can actually fit the boots, ie footbeds, shell work, liner molding ect.

Really try to get fitted locally you will end up with a much better set of boots.
 
Sorry for misinformation, the shell is same from 27.0 to 28.0. Anyway you can make the 27.0 or 27.5 to 28.0 by just cutting the boot boards toe piece.

Yes a full shell size will make a huge difference. Based on your general dumbfuckerieness i would assume the 28.5 shell is too big to begin with so maybe the 27.5 will be a better fit.
 
Based on your general dumbfuckerieness i would assume you can't read or just to lazy to read the OP...28.5 fits me perfect. I was looking for someone who might have dropped sizes and had some insight on the fit. Not people who think asking a question makes you dumb. have a nice day
 
OP real_sorry is basically correct- your boot truly is a 3:1 lasted piece of shit. There is a reason why no FT athletes are in the crappy Influence shell. If your shop is a racer's paradise, then they are at least good boot fitters and I would trust their judgement over most people on NS, especially since they are able to see your foot.

I dropped sizes so i do have insight. Dont fucking do it if the boot fits "perfectly", its a ridiculous question.
