Full Face

So Im looking to get a new full face helmet as I recently broke my 661.(not while wearing it. haha). was wondering if anyone had some recommendations. I know that there is not going to be many peeps who rock these skiing but I had a wreck and jacked up my face a few years back. long story short, I just found out that my upper jaw is still broken and the most recent surgery didnt take well. So I've elected to put off the next surgery till march as i still want to finish out the season and so I need the most protection possible. Heck alot of the big mountain guys are rockin em more and more anyway so its not that far out there. Sethmo even has his own pro model TLD d3. I'd rather not get that one because it says "Morrison" across the brow. open to any other suggestions though and I've actually been eyeing up the d3 medusa. any legit help would be greatly appreciated.

Sparknotes: need suggestions for a full face helmet for skiing.

I wear a D3 for racing bikes (Seth's pro model co-coincidentally) and they are probably the sickest helmet out there. Super light, good air flow and good protection (even has emergency pull out jaw pads)

I've seen almost all of them in person and if you don't want the Seth pro model then I'd say go for the black pin stripe or if you don't mind a bit of extra weight the black speed wing composite is pretty rad too.

Alternatively there is a company called OGK that have just put out some sick looking helmets that you might want to check out. Supposedly they are lighter and offer better protection than a D3 but I can't say for certain as I've never worn or seen one.

I have the Troy lee D2 for mountain biking and if you dont want to spend that much on a d3 its a good alternative. Idk how it would be for skiing though...

10/10 K for you both. Thanks. I even 10/10'd zero spin for vibes sake. Lol any other suggestions are welcome but I think I'm leanin towards the d3 medusa. Off to check out OGK.

Any ideas on d3 sizing compared to 661. No TLD retailers close by to try one on and I think I'm jus gonna buy one online. +k for quick help.

I have a M/L D2 which i think is 58cm if i remember right. I have a pretty small head, normally wear a med ski helmet (salomon, bern)

Yeah I actually wear a S in bern but a M in 661. I dunno. Think I'm gonna pull the trig on a d3 in M. 10/10 for both of USA though. Thanks!

There's a size chart on the top right of the TLD product pages. It looks like TLD measures 1 to 2 cm larger than 661 sizing.

661

XS 50cm

S 51cm

M 52cm

L 53cm

XL 54cm

TLD

XS 52-53cm

S 54-55cm

M 56-57cm

L 58-59cm

XL 60-61cm

XXL 62-63cm

Yah i ordered a medium/large d2 thinking that it would fit real snug, but it was actualy way to big. I returned it and got xs/small and its just right. Imoa troy lees sizes are kinda fucked. In any other helmet i would be a medium/large!

Thanks man. So glad I didn't just buy it last night. Ended up finding a shop like 10 mins away with d3s in stock so I can go try em on. I started lookin at size charts and they were all over the place. Even the fact that I wear a S in bern but a M in 661 makes no sense. Def gotta try it on. Thanks again everyone for the help.
