Fujis center mounted

i have last years fujis, and i just got the bindings mounted on them, and i told the shop to center mount them, but when i got them they dont look true center, theres more in the front then the back, is that the shops fault, or is it just where the center is on that ski?

are you looking at the binding? or the boot... because remember.. centermounting skis centermounts them around the middle of your boot.

on a lot of skis, when they are center mounted they don't seem to look like they are, but they usually are.

its called core centre. Alot of k2s have a marking on the sidewall which looks like a measuring tape. It usually says midsole and then goes forward +7cm to CORE centre. True centre is around 3-4cm ahead of this normally. If you put your boot in the binding there is a small ridge in the middle of the boot just above the bottom. This should line up with the centre of the skis. if it lines up with core centre on k2s, this is not the real centre of the skis. You could have the skis remounted ie more holes, which shouldnt affect the integrity of the ski, especially as it has a wood core, so long as the shop guys plug the holes correctly to stop water penetration. Or you could suggest they have been mismounted and ask for a new pair. but this depends on the store policy and how you explained where you wanted them mounted.

flip one ski up side down, put them base to base, see if the place where your ski boot goes inbetween the toe and heel piece, if they line up, you gots center mounted skis, if you dont well i think its your fault cause you werent very specific. but hope you got what you wanted!

yeah i checked and there core center, not true center, but is this bad? like should i go back and have them true center,or is it good enough, and is that bad for skis?

i would keep it, unless your really going big/ fast switch then you really wont notice much difference at all

well how far back from true center is core? if its more that like 3cms them mabey, but if its like 2 then you will be fine

i have my fujis mounted at core center and ive ridden true center. theres not much of a difference at all. i think you will be fine

i ride fujatives mounted at the core center and i think its just fine, besides, the fuji isnt a perfectly symmetrical ski, that means if its a true or perfect center your atually fighting the ski when riding switch
