I got my fujis mounted last season but they didnt have any of the mounting guides b/c they were some of the first ones to come out, so the tech didnt centermount them for me they are at like wayyyy back so im gonna get the remounted hopefulyy at true center. will the ski be ok? should i not even both with getting them remounted at a shop? Should i just do them myself?

I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!

definately dont do them yourself. You can mount where ever you want and it will be sick, i'd recommend about an inch behind true centre.

just make sure you fill in the old holes with wax or glue etc, otherwise the integrity of the core will be compromised.

should i go true center? or 1 inch back? what should i do about where they remount them, since i have no mounting guides on my skis. should i just tell them to measure equal amount from tip to tail based on my boots?

I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!

i ski southern WI on little ski hills i ski mostly park probly 70 park 30% of time im on groomres dicking around.

I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!

id make the fucker give you new fujis if he mnountaed them wrong and you told them were to mount thyem

it doesnt matter if its remounted but it takes 1 of 3 lives your ski has

also you dont need no guide to mount the fujis that guy is a dipshist all you need is the right jib and a measuring tape to mount them true center

yeah i tried that but he said he called K2 and they told him to where to mount them.

I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!

He probably didn't specify where he wanted to mount the skis when he called k2. K2 would give out the info he asked for. He must have asked for the traditional mid sole (not the mid core) position, that is his mistake for not knowing the difference between the two mounting positions.

You can re-mount them though and it won't ruin the skis...

if you only do it once then they should be fine. more than that though and they start to break easier

and now it's time to go commit internet suicide

do them center ski not center core and true center

Q:whats better than one red head

A: TWO RED HEADS

sam: man that shot of pete doing a switchup on th s was so awsome hey steve u got that right

sam: ohhh ohhh yeah steve missed the shot.

If they are waaay back just mount another pair of bindings in front then you can clip in as super-racer or super-parkdude

Dude, the shop tech screwed up. Did you tell him to mount them at true center? if you did, even though he called, he owes you new skis. He might just tell you that it doesn't matter, and it won't effect the ski, but if he screwed up, then you need to make a big deal out of it, and get new skis from him.

hey dude...um Im not sure where the center mount is on those skis but its critical that you mount the skis where they are suppose to because thats what they are made for you can really wear you skis down if its in the wrong place....but when I mount my skis I do it about 1-2 cm forward and thats ok but not any farther then 5

itll mke em weaker but not unrideable if u remount em

so is mid sole like where you would mount an non twin tip ski and core center is where the twin tip ski is suppose to be mounted?

will summer ever end it seems to get longer and longer every year.

what??? ^^^^

do you even know what those terms refer to

mid-sole means that you place the binding jig over a mark placed where the center of the boot would be....it is just a term inicating what kind of marks are on the side of the ski

toe-mount means the refernce point for the jig is where the boot toe is

true-center is the middle of a ski - thats all

core center is some BS about where the center flex point is

honestly - unless you spend your life skiing a few mm is not going to be noticed

can somebody measure a pair of 179 fuji and tell me how far from the tip or the tail to where the center of my 30.5cm boot should be?

if you download(ski movies) them your computer gets aids and buttfucks you

-lax-

179/2=89.5cm

so measure 89.5cm from the ski tail(or tip) and make a mark. This is where the midline on your boot should line up with. Just mark the line take them to a tech and tell them thats where u want them mounted.

mine got raped when they were mounted (check my user pics). but i was stoked that i got em, so i didnt care as much as i should have. as far as im concerned, they still work so i think another season is fine on them, but im unhappy. if you dont want to be unhappy, get those fuckers remounted true center. they are dope shizzle when centermounted. when they are mounted shit like mine, they are ok. ive skiied alot of skis. mostly centermounted, and in so i realized how sad mine really are.

bottom line:its worth it. get it fixed. there wont be any major problems. maybe they screw holes (if improperly filled) could cause some cracks and damages, but fuckit, how long do you use a pair of skicks anyways

Bloodninja:You can't hurry good pizza.

i was with japanada when he got them mounted. the tech at our hill is pretty gay. japanada told him true center and the tech said there are no markings to go by so i will call k2 and ask them where to mount the bindings. a week later they were mounted way far back.
