Ok i dont have much money so fujis would be great for the price but how well do they hold an edge on hardpack, can u carve em or no. i kno they are a park ski but how do they handle outside of the park. Im 6'2" and 165 so itll be the 179 length if that makes any diff.
they don't last, are too soft for carving, and lose their camber quickly losing pop and responsiveness. i would know i just broke a pair after 15 days. umm, now if your interested
...im trying to set something up or those of us who want new skis for cheap with getting 3 people in on two sets of triplets, making a pair come out to about $195 with shipping, and atomics are great outside the park as well as the strong edges on the urbans for rails inside the park. https://www.newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/270175/
i'm riding the 179 Fujis from this year mounted core center and am about your size (6'2, 150). They've been nice and soft/flexy in the park and for the most part have carved nice. real easy ski to push around though and i here they turn to noodles. Overall they are really fun to ski especially in the park and the edges are thick.
I personally like them. I've skied them somewhere around 30 days from 2nd half of last year into this year and I've had no problems. I can hold an edge on them a lot better than my old rossi scratches and they have a fairly wide base which I love. I have no complaints with them, I personally think they are a great ski
Lol so they either suck or they are good, i have responses sayin both, im not lookin for em to be a race ski, but i still wanna be able to carve on groomers
it's just the nature of the ski, an atomic ski, which uses the samee beta technology (though softened up a bit) as their race skis is going to carve better.
