As a producer for Fuel TV, I let them have it over that article. Here is my public response:
Geeze. I'm kind of shocked how fast the "Risk is
the only Rule" Era is leading to Fuel TV's downfall as a leader in
action sports. Obviously, some must sense the inevitable impending
irrelevance and feel the need to stoke the ancient and now
completely esoteric debate of skier vs. snowboarders for a few pathetic
bro points. Hell, I feel like my grandma was having this stupid
debate. It's that f-ing old. The debate is over. They are both fun
and a significant number of the most serious participants do both. If
you've got to rag on skiing or snowboarding, obviously you don't have
enough confidence in your standing in your own sport. This article is
pathetic. Get back to producing GOOD content that is fresh, relevant
and interesting regardless of the number of boards on your feet. Oh
wait, you're premiering that piece of action-sports-insulting-trash
called "Cubed" cause your viewers need to be told the difference
between switch and fakie. I guess good content is too much to ask.
