Fucked up mount

I went to get my scratch fs 174's mounted a couple days and I asked for the skis to be mounted at true center. Today my mom picked the skis up for me and when she got home I looked at them and they were mounted at the standard mounting point. I dont want to ski on these at standard for sure so do you think I should just go back and get them to remount the skis or should I try to get a new pair of skis?
 
go back and complain. tell them you want a new pair or some money or something. i did it when they fucked up my mount so they remounted and then gave me my 35 bucks back for the mount plus another 100 dollar store credit.
 
take them back, they should atleast refund what you paid to get them mounted or hook you up with some swag for the problem. I would be kinda pissed.
 
I know exactly what you mean last time i got my skis mounted i said true center and they mounted way back
 
they did the same exact shit to me, i was so pissed, they gave me a free movie, but i definitly should have bitched more.
 
i ski my scratches at suggested, they are working great. candid rides them at sug. too i think so idk just putting that out there
 
i mesured mine out, and told them to mount them 2.5 inches up which was true center and it worked like a charm
 
im seeing alot of these threads lately, and i just want to clear something up. Every place that you get skis mounted at makes you sign a contract that is called the "agreement of release and liablity" so my point there is that there is some paperwork involved. Now if you want a specific mount point, then ask the guy who is writiting the contract to physically write your mounting point on the sheet, with your height, weight, ablility, and age. This will most likely solve the problem because the binding tech always has this sheet infront of him. And dont let the guy say to you that he will later or he will let the binding tech. know. Because 9 out of 10 times he will forget. So write it yourself or make sure the shop employee does. Also you can ask to speak to the binding tech. Now im not saying you didnt do this, because you might have, but always do this, it clears up problems. Oh and say the shop should call you when they mount them if they have any questions. I work in a shop and always ask for a mounting point, because I hate hearing people getting there skis ruined. So long story short, always make sure your on the same page as the shop is.
 
I specifically told them to mount at true center, I wrote on the sheet to mount at true center and they phoned me and asked if I wanted my skis mounted at true center and they STILL mounted at standard. What dumbasses.

some irrate fucker came in and bought his kid the fujative juniors and told up to mount them at recommended. 2 days later he comes in and asks ehy the skis are mounted so far back, claiming we should know that the k2 mounts are way back, and done what was best for freestyle.

the same fucker also let us spend an hour fitting his daughter for stuff, then went down the street and bought all new roxy gear for her. comes in a day later with an impacted edge ("she was learning how to grind the box") and multiple core shots and wants a deal on a fix and tune.

fuckers.
 
yea whats gay about when i got mine mounted was on the piece of paper attached to my skis it clearly said center mount, and they still fucked up
 
That will not solve anything, and only burn bridges with the people who are working on your skis.

The idea here is to make it easy for the tech that mounts your skis to do what you want. So, measure the skis, and make preliminary marks in pencil. Once you have your mounting point, be it center or whatever it may be, make a nice straight line(ruler) in permanent marker. Then, measure the distance from the recommended line in case the tech needs this distance. Also, bring the techs something, be it Christmas cookies, beer, Arizona Iced Tea, etc. The ski tech is most often underpaid, and this will ensure that they remember your skis and do it how you want them to.
 
exactly! I always measure up my prefered mountingpoint and daw a line on a pice of sportstape. that way the tech CANT mount them wrong, and if he did Id kick his balls. my point is that most techs arent reliable, especially when it comes to oral agrements. never tell them to mount at trur center or whatever, but draw your line. most skis dont even have tru center marked out so your tech probably does a shitty job finding this spot. DO THIS YOURSELFS! thanks
 
take em back bro. this is the exact reason why i talked to the guy that i knew was goign to mount my skis. and made sure he understood what i was talking about. it doesnt hurt that my bro works with him and i have "known" him for a while now.
 
wehn i got mine mounted this year i made them mark down true center on teh little slip so if they fucked it up they would have to give me a new pair
 
You deserve replacement skis, mounted for free by them. The replacement skis should be identical if possible, or you can agree on another ski.

Do NOT let them stick you with a remount, it's not fair to have extra holes in your skis which make it harder to sell them later/remount in another spot because THEY messed up.

Demand NEW SKIS.
 
yea, be a dick like this guy, so that the tech will mount without epoxy, you are shit out of luck because ski manufacturers dont cover ripouts.
