Fuck women drivers, especially 16 year old with cell phones

I'll be the first asshole to say it. You observed this bitch being distracted and obviously a new and unskilled driver, yet you still didn't give her a large enough buffer zone to stop in case she pulled something dumb. It sucks that your injured, and as a bike rider myself it is one of my worst fears to get into an accident with another car. This is why you have to be extra careful on a motorcycle and give people lots of room, especially if they appear to be a moron or dangerous driver.

No offense but this is your fault. Throw blame all you want, and she may even be the worst driver in the world, but you ran into the back of her. Another 20-30 feet of clearance and you may have had just enough time to stop or swerve out of harms way. Here's a tip, bikes take longer to stop than cars so don't tailgate. Good luck getting anything from the accident or proving it wasn't your fault. By all rights she can slam on her brakes for any reason she wants and you should be able to stop in time. Man up and be responsible for your actions.

It's more-so that they only have one hand on the wheel. Talking on a speaker phone or bluetooth is perfectly legal.
 
some chick at my high school got her license and totaled her brand new Audi an hour later and sending a 60 year old lady to the hospital and the funny thing is i dont think she was even texting she just sucks at driving
 
I was driving to work yesterday, and there is this intersection type place, its really confusing, heres a picture

now im the blue arrow, i have to merge with the black arrow, while car (the red arrow) are coming at me.

now where i merge, there is a hatched area with a sign that says "do not block" so that the blue arrows can get in there during red lights and such

well i was driving, and this bitch on her phone pulls up and is blocking the area

then the light changes and she wont go. shes still on her phone and everyones honking her. so then she finally goes but now other cars are coming the other way and the lights going to change so i miss the light...

now this is an intersection crossing a highway, so the light for the highway is a lot longer then ours

plus, i have to do this every morning to get to school, so imagine murging into this when traffic is backed up for like half a mile. its made me a better driver since you ahve to be really aggressive to get in there
 
firstly. I follow the two second rule religiously. second, how does something that weighs a few hundred pounds and has more powerful brakes and a manual transmission take longer to stop then a few thousand pound suv with drum brakes and an automatic?I wasn't tailgating. I was swerving out of harms way but the guy behind me clipped me and locked me in before I could escape. she had no reason at all to slam on her brakes, so I'm not really faulting the guy behind me even though it was his fault. the road had no possible turns on it, it was a straight road with no side streets.

Get her information, call up her parents, and threaten a lawsuit if they don't pay for you bike and medical bills. I guarantee that will work

like paskiingsucks said, she could of slammed on her brakes purposely and even though it seems irrational, the vehicle should be able to stop and avoid an accident. even if it isn't your fault, if you hit someone from behind you're fucked. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you wound up getting sued by this girl. the texting thing won't hold up in court either, there's no way to prove it it's basically your word against hers.
trust me im going through a lawsuit right now from something very similar. thankfully nobody was hurt, just a bunch of fuckcunt faggots trying to suck me and my insurance company dry. I was driving home from school two years ago, and it was pouring rain. like flooding the streets. an suv in front of me rear ended the car in front of him. they both came to a sudden stop and I slammed on the brakes, I was driving a truck, skidded because they're was nothing in the back, and slammed into them. so basically it was a pile up. it wasn't my fault obviously but since I rear ended the car that rear ended someone, I was blamed for the accident. the insurance company believed my story and could confirm it since the damage of my car was way less severe than the damage of the car in front of me. but now the faggots that I hit are ganging up on me and trying to sue me for all kinds of shit.

and it was at a stop light so i assume cars were close to each other. i mean you dont leave 2 car lengths when stopping at a red light... you pull up right behind them. had this been on a road with moving traffic and not at a stop, then yes he shouldnt have been as close...

if they don't call your bluff, you get money, if they call your bluff, well either you go ahead and sue (if you figure you really have a case) or you just do nothing

my uncle was driving in NYC. There was a green light, he was going, this stupid bitch walked out from behind a bus right in front of him, he couldnt stop in time and hit her. she was in the hospital for like 30 days, she lived but shes like crippled and its not good

my uncle didnt have to much insurance, only like 100k and now she wants more, she can potentially take every bit of money he has because of her own stupidity. like my uncles life could be ruined...

I agree about being under 20 and driving though. I'm under 20, and i'll admit that i'm still not great at driving. Never been in any sort of accident or anything like that but i don't think i've been in many situations where i've actually avoided accidents. But i definitely am better (or just luckier) than most of the people i know. I'd guess that at least 75% of my classmates in high school had been in accidents, some multiple times. The closest i came was when the front axle became disconnected from my car due to rusting etc etc, and me losing braking and steering, but i somehow managed to keep it under control.
 
shitty that your in the hospital..but ya today i had to drive with some girl my age (16) with the drivers ed instructor and i thought she was gonna get use all killed. she was so bad

Your bike tires are how wide???? How much of that actually touches the road???? What makes your braking system so superior to a cars??? You were swerving out of harms way???? How come you didn't just slow down and stop if you weren't tailgating, I'm betting you were too close and had no option but to swerve. Cars have all that weight pressing down on their superior surface area of rubber touching the road, that's how they stop better.

Whatever I'm not trying to say your an ass or even at fault. I feel for ya man I wouldn't wanna get banged up on my bike. I'm just saying maybe you should admit that some of the fault was yours. She doesn't need a stop sign or side street to justify braking. I'm just saying you stated that you hit the back of her vehicle, that is pretty much gonna make it your fault. Whether she got a ticket for texting or not I don't think that is gonna change anything. Whatever man, I truly wish you luck with this recovery of your body and money for your bike but I don't see it happening.

As a biker we appreciate a little more room for safety and in turn should give a little more room. 2 second rule really??? How fast were you going 30?? 20?? At 60 mph your going 88 feet per second, at 30 that is 44, at 20mph (I bet you were going over 20) that is around 30 feet per second. Your gonna tell me you were 60 feet behind this bitch???? Just showing that it sounds nice and safe to say.....but nobody really follows the 2 second rule.

Actually by your story you should go after the guy behind you. I mean you did say he hit you and pushed you into the car in front of you right????? So you actually hit her after the guy behind you hit you. That is his fault for rear ending you then not hers. Or did you hit her rear end first???

Toronto is passing a by-law within the next month implementing a ban on cell phone use in cars.

its a pretty hefty fine if your caught and if you ask me is totally justified. too many instances of people being hit, or worse killed, cause people are to ignornant to save their text conversation till their stopped.

with bluetooth technology present in cars today, there really is no exscuess.

$200 bluetooth adaptor orrrrrr potentionally killing someone?

 
completely agree with that law and it should be enforced in the states instead of just for 18 year olds or younger. i dont look at my phone when im driving. if its important, they can leave a message. im not going to be driving far so there really is no need for me to immediately check it.
 
i was merging onto another interstate one morning driving to work...got ran into the grass by a bitch on her cell phone...when she passed i gave a quick glance in her direction...she didnt' even realise she ran me off the road btw she was just chatting away on her phone

 
word. there was this asian woman with her headset in driving a brand new mercedez suv and i didnt think anything of it as i was riding my bike on the sidewalk and she was exiting from a nature preserve. i expected her to stop at the stop sign but she kept going and hit me sending me and my bike up onto her hood where my pedal put a very nice gash before we both fell off the hood. she got out of the car acting like it was my fault speaking some jibberish expecting me to know what it meant.
 
Well, I live in sweden and have never been to USA so I dunno.

But you can ride a scooter at the age of 15 here, and all the teenagers who drives them are so bad at driving. I can just imagine how it would be if they drove cars instead. They would seriously kill the earth, no joke!

On the other hand, there are good drivers and bad drivers.

the only people that yell at me are the dumb ass soccer moms taking walks cuz i fly by them on local streets. Local streets as in no yellow line, 1.5 cars wide. I got told to slow down and move over today by some bitch, i just sped up. I love being a NY driver
 
comming back on the bus from a ski meet (ya i race too) a drunk lady almost hit us going the wrong way on the high way bt we swerved as she hit the car ahead of us
 
That's the law in NC, and there starting to check people's phones after a wreak to see if they had been texting anyone or on the phone during the time of the wreak.

Oh no you don't I'm from CT. VT driver have no idea what they are doing. CT people are the only ones that know how to drive. People from VT drive 30 on every road, from the highway to the private road that is 8 feet wide. And they decide to pull out in front of you at the last minute. People in CT know how to drive. It's VT and NJ that you have to worry about. Sorry to any VT kids, its you parents and grandparents that suck at driving haha, not the young ones.
 
Here is one kid for raising the driving age to 18.
Just make 18 that age, when you turn 18 you can: drive, vote, drink, smoke, get drafted, join the military, get charged as an adult.
 
the only thing worse than a ct driver is my mom. (a woman ct driver) or pretty much any maine driver. guys and girls cuz theyre both high or drunk quite often
