Fuck vegetarians

I don't mind vegetarians, it's the vegans who dump paint on me when I walk out of the store with my new puppy fur coat that annoy me

i don't eat meat becuase i dont think other living creatures should have to die so i can have tastier food. if you eat meat, thats great for you, but please dont rag on vegetarians, becuase there choices dont affect you at all.

I eat meat for the sake of protein and healthiness. Otherwise i probably wouldn't . I would never eat any animals that are treated cruel, like veal.

how do you think our species have survived for so long? i don't really care though...

bigpot5.jpg

just so you know, pretty much any meat you are eating that isn't certified organic is treated ridiculously cruelly, the facts about slaughterhouses etc. are horrifying

i am a vegetarian, but sometimes i hate us too!

hahaha, that's hilarious man! and SchweitzerSki. I can believe you eat sloth burgers. sloths are soooo cool!

But ya, I'm gonna eat meat cuz I can run faster, jump higher, bench press more and think better with a god damn chicken in my belly. And if you think asperagus is gonna make you feel like a million bucks go for it. I'm down with the whole vegetarian thing until they force it upon me.

The following post is a copy of the article for those of us who get stuck in school and are blocked from that site.

(yes im blocked from that site but not NS and i dont have time to read it now so im just gona post it here for all to enjoy)

I was looking over a menu in a restaurant the other day when I saw a section for vegetarians; I thought to myself "boy, I sure am glad that I'm not a meat-hating fascist" and I skipped on to the steak section (because I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $15 for an alfalfa sandwich, slice of cucumber and a scoop of cold cottage cheese), but before I turned the page something caught my eye. The heading of the vegetarian section was titled "Guiltless Grill," not because there were menu items with fewer calories and cholesterol (since there were "healthy" chicken dishes discriminated against in this section), but because none of the items used animal products. Think about that phrase for a second. What exactly does "guiltless grill" imply? So I'm supposed to feel guilty now if I eat meat? Screw you.

What pisses me off so much about this phrase is the sheer narrow-mindedness of these stuck up vegetarian assholes. You think you're saving the world by eating a tofu-burger and sticking to a diet of grains and berries? Well here's something that not many vegetarians know (or care to acknowledge): every year millions of animals are killed by wheat and soy bean combines during harvesting season (source). Oh yeah, go on and on for hours about how all of us meat eaters are going to hell for having a steak, but conveniently ignore the fact that each year millions of mice, rabbits, snakes, skunks, possums, squirrels, gophers and rats are ruthlessly murdered as a direct result of YOUR dieting habits. What's that? I'm sorry, I don't hear any more elitist banter from you pompous cocks. Could it be because your shit has been RUINED?

That's right: the gloves have come off. The vegetarian response to this embarrassing fact is "well, at least we're not killing intentionally." So let me get this straight; not only are animals ruthlessly being murdered as a direct result of your diet, but you're not even using the meat of the animals YOU kill? At least we're eating the animals we kill (and although we also contribute to the slaughter of animals during grain harvesting, keep in mind that we're not the ones with a moral qualm about it), not just leaving them to rot in a field somewhere. That makes you just as morally repugnant than any meat-eater any day. Not only that, but you're killing free-roaming animals, not animals that were raised for feed. Their bodies get mangled in the combine's machinery, bones crushed, and you have the audacity to point fingers at the meat industry for humanely punching a spike through a cow's neck? If you think that tofu burgers come at no cost to animals or the environment, guess again.

To even suggest that your meal is some how "guiltless" is absurd. The defense "at least we're not killing intentionally" is bullshit anyway. How is it not intentional if you KNOW that millions of animals die every year in combines during harvest? You expect me to believe that you somehow unintentionally pay money to buy products that support farmers that use combines to harvest their fields? Even if it was somehow unintentional, so what? That suddenly makes you innocent? I guess we should let drunk drivers off the hook too since they don't kill intentionally either, right? There's no way out of this one. The only option left for you dipshits is to buy some land, plant and pick your own crops. Impractical? Yeah, well, so is your stupid diet.

Even if combines aren't used to harvest your food, you think that buying fruits and vegetables (organic or otherwise) is any better? How do you think they get rid of bugs that eat crops in large fields? You think they just put up signs and ask parasites to politely go somewhere else? Actually, I wouldn't put that suggestion past you hippies. One of the methods they use to get rid of pests is to introduce a high level of predators for each particular prey, which wreaks all sorts of havoc on the natural balance of predator/prey populations--causing who knows what kind of damage to the environment. Oops, did I just expose you moral-elitists for being frauds? Damndest thing.

A number of people have pointed out that the amount of grain grown to feed animals for slaughter every year is greater than the amount of grain grown for humans. So I guess the amount of grain grown for human consumption suddenly becomes negligible and we can conveniently ignore the fact that animals are still ruthlessly murdered either way because of your diet, right? Not to mention that the majority of grain grown for livestock is tough as rocks, coarse, and so low-grade that it's only fit for animal consumption in the first place. Spare me the "you could feed 500 people with the grain used to feed one cow" line of shit; it's not the same grain. Then there are the people who jump on the bandwagon with "you could plant billions of potatoes on the land used for cows"--good point, except for the fact that not every plot of land is equally fertile; you think farmers always have a choice on what they do with their land? Also, many vegetarians don't know (or care to acknowledge) that in many parts of the United States they have "control hunts" in which hunting permits are passed out whenever there is a pest problem (the pest here is deer, elk and antelope) that threatens wheat, soy, vegetable and other crops; this happens several times per year. Then some of you throw out claims that "we are trying to limit the suffering." How about you limit MY suffering and shut the hell up about your stupid diet for a change; nobody cares. Even if the number of animals that die in combine deaths every year isn't in the millions, even if it's just one, are you suggesting that the life of one baby rabbit isn't worth saving? Are you placing a value on life? Enjoy your tofu, murderers.

looks funny. ill read tomarrow

Fuck you for hating an entire group of people you don't know or understand. Prejudice won't get you anywhere, but furthur from where you want to be in life.

go ahead and choose what you want to eat but dont bigot against vegatarians, they are taking a stand for something they believe in which everyone should do without having to worry about being mocked. and we dont eat humans do we, but they are made of meat. and how about i make you a nice coat out of my pubes, it would be nice and furry. its amazing to me that we are the most advanced species in the world yet wwe are still the biggest assholes towards each other, stop being so judgemental damnit.,, there my rant is done.

i saw something once....it was a sign in some antique store that said "vegetarian is an ancient indian saying for lousy hunter."

or then theres the old P.E.T.A. --- People Eating Tasty Animals.

but in all seriousness, i have nothing against vegetarians. infact, 2 of my closest cousins are vegetarians. what ever floats your boat as long as you dont force it on me im fine with it.

i never biggotted(wtf...sp?) for the record. all i said is that i enjoy the occassional puppy and or endangered species

um..i just dont like meat..like i feel queasy if i eat meat...could be tied to some scared childhood or something that i dont remember

WHO FUCKING CARES

If you choose not to eat meat, fine. Vegetarians aren't hurting anyone. Honestly, the people on this site are so fucking stupid it blows my mind. I used to be a vegetarian (not by choice, my mom was and she cooks my food) and all the vegetarians I know are not "pompous assholes," they're just normal people. What the fuck do you ignorant pieces of shit care if someone doesn't eat meat? Does it affect you in any way? I really doubt vegetarians are constantly walking up to you and screaming stuff in your face, or chastizing you for eating meat.

i feel sorry for the person who had enough time on their hands to write such a stupid and pointless article. If someone has a moral objection to eating animals, they still 'save' animal lives by being vegetarian, regardless of if animals are killed by combines. If it were a 1:1 ratio (animals killed by combines:animals killed for food) they'd still be killing 50% fewer animals by being vegetarian, and thus, making a difference.

Why all the hate on vegetarians all of a sudden? There are a hell of a lot of us, and only a small portion are actually going out of their way to convince others to do the same by trying to make them feel guilty about it. Most just like being veg, but are constantly forced onto the deffensive simply for explaining why they've chosen this lifestyle. If you read through the vegan thread, it's not the vegetarians who are the instigators, were just trying to explain why we've chosen not to eat meat and shed some light on why it is healthy to be veg. Some of you are hung up on old wives tales about 'essential proteins and amino acids that can only be obtained from meat' that are needed to maintain your health. That's a crock of shit and myself and countless others are examples of that.

Many vegetarians, myself included, could care less about the helpless little animals (though i've received some nasty pms from people describing how they're going to maim and torture bunny rabbits for food), and have sited environmental reasons for their decisions. I'm an outdoors person, i love to go backpacking, climbing and backcountry skiing, this environment is something that i want to protect. However minut an impact being an organic vegetarian has on the environment, i've CHOSEN to contribute that little bit. If my saying that to you makes you feel hostile or feel like you need to get on the defensive, then maybe deep down you agree. Or maybe you're an idiot. Who knows, and who cares.

Twintipteles knows whats up. I eat meat and I love it. All meat that I buy is certified organic and the fish I eat is all wild. Call me a hippy if you like. If you are a meat eater do some research about where your meat is coming from, how its slaughtered and how its processed. You will be shocked at some of the practices large meat producers use.

i'm a poor college student, so i can't afford to eat organic meat, i really can't even afford to eat any kind of meat, besides tuna. i love meat though, and will indulge in a big cheeseburger if someone else foots the bill. whatever though, as long as people are not jamming their beliefs down my throat, i really couldn't care any less what you want to eat or what you want to let roam free.

most veg heads have a reason for being that way, like cruelty to animals or other stuff?? But who cares what they do? Society has taught you to care about what everyone else thinks. Be unjudgmental and find yourself before critisizing because then someday some good might come out of it. Breed Love not Hate.

i bet good vegetarians have higher amounts of protein in their diet than most non-vegetarians... and how do a lot of meat eaters supplement their protein intake?? usually soy or whey. all the nutrients that a vegetarian needs can come from non-meat sources.

my sister is a vegaterian, i think its funny cause i always piss her off and spike her food with meat she gets soo pissed its hilarious....anyways i couldnt live without meat.....

peace

My lacrosse team went on a trip last year and on the bus, a couple kids put beef jerky in this kid's mouth, who is a veggie and was sleeping. He didn't wake up immediately, but he started chewing on it in his sleep. Then he flipped out and beat the hell outa some kids. It was fun.

Take the time to read this...

I agree with you.

And I'd love to actually see the fact about killing millions of animals with combines... I was laughing pretty hard. I wonder how many animals are killed harvesting grain, etc. to feed the animals on the way to the slaughterhouse?

Start thinking for yourselves!
