Skiers are so far from their target market its mind-boggling why its been on Newschoolers for so fucking long. Fuck that dogshit lineup and fuck that puke pink color.

yeah its cool, I'll probably just go to the stupid festival at this point because the ad clearly isn't ever going away lolol

Its the music event at Summer Dew Tour, which is ran by our parent company, so of course they run ads on all of the websites they own, just the way it goes.

Thanks for the info. I didn't even realize it was part of the Dew Tour, just thought it was some awful music fest. I might go for the Dew Tour events, which are free, and don't require buying an overpriced ticket to a Supreme fuckboy's wet dream of a lineup that I'd literally pay to avoid.

The event actually sounds pretty rad, but skateboarding contests have become so fucking entangled with corporate sponsors and pop culture social media hypeshit as of late, its super disheartening

To be fair, music has always been a big part of extreme sports, xgames has always had concerts, Dew Tour is just doing the exact same thing (has been for a bit now too) because it works. The concerts at dew/xgames are fucking packed with people, majority not being action sports fans per say and likely only attended the event for the music. These events are all about bringing in as many people as possible, music is a big piece of that.

You might not like the lineup, but im sure plenty of people do and will show up.

The ad is still utterly irrelevant to the overwhelmingly vast majority of members here, likely very few of whom even live within 500 miles of long beach. Its a damn shame Dew Tour used this ad space to run this ugly as fuck advert for a long ass time. Whoever made that executive decision is a fuck head, as well as whoever decided that all these soundcloud retards qualify as a musical festival "line-up". Although you're right, hype anything enough and the idiots will pay for it. Fuck the corporations, maaan.

Let it out man, get it off your chest!

It was pretty sad to see gary clark junior to play to like 20 people in Austin, and then skrillex or pretty lights or whoever was fucking packed.

But yeah I've seen a few concerts at xgames and dew tours over the years. Always been a pairing, although the music used to be wayyyyy better.
