Nikon 85 1.8D
Take note. Always secure those lenses down in your bag.
Anyone know any good repair shops?

Ha yeah, dropped the lens at the hotel 2 hours before the wedding. Perfect timing right? a couple of the blades got knocked out, they are floating in the inside of the lens. And I was content with the lens before the drop, but then again this was only my 3rd day owning it.

Ha yeah that title was directed towards you..
and Jason I've been calling around, lowest potential price I can find is $150 if no parts are needed.

That's pricy, but better than buying a replacement.

Kinda makes me realize how flimsy aperture blades are. I'd cry if that shit happened to my 80-200.

Also, have you been looking around at local shops, or online repair services? Cause I've got a 50mm that i picked up for 12 bucks that has a stiff focus ring that need repair..

Nikon authorized stores.. only local place in Cincy that does any repair is closed on Monday..

Yeah, and what pisses me off is I bet its an easy fix too, nothing looks broken, and I can see how it reattaches.. whatever, I'll see what the local place charges tomorrow.
