I'm not sure if any one else has posted about this, but I am extremely pissed off at Youtube and this Google + bullshit. I like to post guitar videos on Youtube, and now I can't even reply to comments, check inbox messages or personal messages, without switching to this google+ nonsense. Now all of the inbox messages and comments on my videos are linked through google+ and I need an account and all this horseshit or else I can't continue managing my channel. Youtube was perfectly fine like 3 years ago. What's with all of this fucking crap trying to be like FB. I needed to get this off my chest, and I know a lot of you use Youtube to upload and share edits and such. How do you guys feel about this bullshit?
 
Its terrible, but for some reason if you use the record live function on youtube, that still uses the old comments
 
Every update the layout gets worse and worse. Ads have become ridiculous. This social networking bullshit keeps getting pushed on us. Copyright literally claims everything, making a lot of older videos with music unwatchable. And it's impossible to start a new channel today because the channels that make google the most money get shoved down your throat. I'm pretty sure theres no recently uploaded videos tab. Also, the videos suggested to you are utter horse shit. If I watched a ski edit, that doesn't mean I want to watch Ray William Johnson.

I feel exactly the same way. The comments are all over the place in seemingly no order and like always, it's something were gonna have to get used to because there isn't a whole lot that we can do to change it.
 
What'd you think was going to happen when google purchased youtube? Oh my favorite ad is the massive one that pops up from the bottom of the screen, taking up half of the fucking screen.
 
The initial idea was pretty great for the comment layouts (excluding the google plus bullshit). The threaded comments, the ability to put links in. But the old one is much better than this.

 
I feel like google should know this but they don't seem to. When you have a product that nobody wants, the worst this you can do is shove it down everyone's throats. I can understand if you're stuck with a warehouse full of crap and you're some company that nobody has heard off.

I have a google plus on my youtube account email as well now. Never going to use google plus, it looks retarded, thanks for trying google.

Also google keeps trying to get me to add a cell number to my email. I've clicked no hundreds of times. "ERMAHGERD IF SOMETHING HAPPENS YOU CAN LOSE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!" I know my password and if I forget it, I'll just make another email account on something that isn't gmail.

Did anyone notice all the google + spies on here? Google is trying to infiltrate websites frequented by the youth and convince them that google + is really cool.
 
yea I've been getting increasingly pissed off by google. what really annoyed me was when they automatically linked my youtube and gmail accounts without any prompt asking me at all, just them assuming it's the same user since it's from the same IP address. Then I try to link my youtube account to a different email and it won't let me at all. I tried everything and email support with no luck. So I just closed the youtube account. Then to top it off my picture on gmail was automatically switched to one random frame from one of my youtube videos and it could not be switched at all. Found out the only way it could be switched was to open a Google+ account, which I did not want.

Google's turning into a bunch of slobbery cunts.
 
Yeah, my name changed as well. I have to click use youtube as my actual account instead of the bullshit +. Also changed my picture. Had to go onto said plus and change it. Only time I've ever used plus.

 
I'm sure now when they go into work, all they do is answer calls from pissed off Youtubers. YouTube was not meant to be a social media outlet, just a simple video sharing site. Google is a great search engine, but they have fucked up royally here. I have 3 accounts under switch accounts, I don't even know what the other 2 are!

I changed my pic on google + but it still hasn't changed it on my YouTube account. Also they say you get notifications now through your email... That's bs, I've got no notifications, I have to look at my videos to see new comments. I hope some chum at google takes a stand and says something to the twat that has the power to fix this.
 
Youtube asks me every fucking time if I want to switch to my real name for the account. NO FUCK YOU I DON'T WANT MY REAL NAME AS MY ACCOUNT. I would have done that in the first place if I wanted that to be it.

And I agree with skiierman, the panoramic ad that covers the whole bottom of the video is my favorite.
 
You know what the worst thing, before this update was? The fact that your subscriptions weren't the first page that popped up anymore. Now, every time, I need to click the button on the left. It sounds like nothing, but it's literally an infinite amount of times more complicated.
 
Exactly! It goes straight to what it "recommends what I should watch" instead of what I actually want to watch with my subscriptions.

Youtube had a ton of shit though and is easy to navigate. Every knows the quality of Vimeo was always 3840823407837 time better.

I'll probably keep using youtube unless it gets too fucked but def won't be using google plus ever.

If they wanted to compete they probably should have waited for facebook to grow as big as it did.

It makes sense, they want people to use it, people don't want to use it, so they're trying to force people to use it and have it catch on. Not working though.
 
My university uses google as their email handler, sorta makes sense because gmail is/was quite a good email site. Problem is now google have linked my university email account to my real gmail account, and since I may have activated google + during one of the five seconds it was 'cool', every few hours they send me an email saying 'you might want to add this person (99.9999999999% of the time one of my lecturers, trust me I don't really want to add any of them)'.

I used google+ to do a group video chat for a school project. Since then ive been getting a shit storm of emails and youtube notifications that i did not ask for.

just go into google plus-->settings-->all the way to the bottom--> disable google+

I just did it though so I'm not sure whether it's going to make me get google plus again
