I was getting ready to pack it up for the day at my local hill and this happened. My camera bag swung open and out goes my Tokina 11-16. Nothing else happened or feel out, but the Tokina did split in half and several wires were ripped. Anything I could do about this, other then kick myself and buy another, or claim it on homeowners (I have a $1000 deductible)?

Today when i was getting out my gear to start filming for surfing I accidentally dropped my lens, and watched it tumble down the 20ft cliff. I went and got it, and found there was no major damage, and it still works perfectly. Guess you just got some bad luck

Damn that sucks. I slipped down my front steps and straight sling shotted my camera to the ground, no damage at all thank god.
