Hi I had to rent a camera for a gig that I did and now Im stuck with sony's stupid consumer avchd. I have .mts files that I need to convert to prores 422, its complicated as fuck, so how do I do this for free and without having a watermark on my clip.
 
this. I have a pany that films to AVCHD and log and transfer works fine. If you have premiere or Vegas both will open them up; you could clip your shots and then just render it out to one file. Vegas defiantly doesn't have the prores codec but premiere might
 
I dont have access to the camera anymore but i will try and convert it somehow through after effects
 
If you have the original video files you should be able to add to log and transfer.

Otherwise you have to do each clip one at a time in premier or all as one long clip.
 
Huh well you should be able to figure it out with premier. if you down have it download the 30 day trial.
 
you could i guess but AE is not built for that purpose. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work... They both use the adobe media encoder to export so i suppose it would take the same time. Forgot to mention only CS5 will open avcHD.

Actually, I believe CS4 works fine with .mts. And does AE CS5 finally use adobe media encoder? I still haven't upgraded ugh.
 
fuck it, adobe after effects is taking way too long to render and its fucking up. Im downloading aunsoft and including it in my budget
