i got this brand new and am looking to invest in the HD version to the more simplistic setup for balancing.

$225 shipped.

pm me for pics (serious buyers only)

Faster balancing, fine tune.

7d with 70-200 and rode videomic might be bit too much for the pro. Correct me if I'm wrong.

you would NEVER want to use a telephoto like that on a glidecam. The idea is to go for something really wide, that makes it look far more stable and smooth. I found a definite difference between 24mm and 17mm on my glidecam, that 70-200 would be silly.

not true. If you watch kevin steen's reel, his last shot is a telephoto lens on a glidecam. It's really sick. But other than that I wouldn't go past 35 with a glidecam.

You're wrong. Kevin uses an hpx, not a dslr. Using a 70-200 on a glide cam would be very impractical, there is maybe one shot you could use it for and its not an easy shot to achieve, not worth it IMO.

I think the 2000 Pro and 2000 HD hold the same weight?

All of pauls videos from two winters ago were with a 7d and a 17-40 on 17, its def wide enough for jumps, maybe a little tight for rails, you just gotta get used to it.

true, but there are exceptions. paul braunstein has used his 50 f/1.4 and 7d on his glidecam. you just need to be really good at it.
