Sick of having wind blown noise when shooting with your DSLR without a 50$+ external mic?

But have a strict budget when buying camera equipment?

Well, here is your solution!

For 7$ shipped(to north america, 9$ shipped overseas) you can get a removable windscreen/deadcat/windmuff for your DSLR!

This very simple system consists of a Velcro donut that you stick around your cameras mic as you can see in the picture below:

The second part of the system is a fuzzy material backed with the other end of the Velcro:

All you have to do is connect the Velcro and you have your own Windscreen for your built-in mic!

Here is a video of a very similar product and how it affects the sound quality!

Now you may ask, why buy the ones I make?

Well here are the reasons:

-Cheaper.

-Works as good, if not better.

-Made in Canada by a NS'er (Not in some Asian Country).

-Lifetime Warranty, just mail the pieces back if something goes wrong, and I'll send you out a new one right away! But I will not send you a new one if you just peeled off the adhesive holding the Velcro to the camera.

So what are you waiting for?

PM me if you want more information or you want to buy one.

A test video using the ones I make will be up in a few days, for those non believers.

Not a bad method. Still doesn't change the direction of the mic, as it's very much still omnidirectional.

I can't wait to get a sweet dslr video setup with an external shotgun.

threads. can we get a shot of skiing though where the person is moving? just kinda hard to compare you know. great idea though

also, this reminds me sorta how I made one of these for my contour. I just cut out a 1cm square from a sock, and taped it around the mic housing.

...this is a MUCH better contraption though, as it's a thicker wind buffer for sure.

I use one of these, unfortunately I did not buy mine for $7...

They're a great alternative to shotgun mics on glidecams. I prefer to use the little micromuff over my videomic on my glidecam since the shotgun acts as a "sail" on the glidecam and blows it all over the place since it's just as heavy as a T2i

you seriously have try and save 2 bucks? off some random kid who is probably paying 5 bucks to ship these things anyway? stop being a fucking retard.

If anyone is looking for ski footage samples, this edit I made was shot with one
