FS: better than Saga or Oakley

At least in my opinion. So here you go Saga and Oakley peeps - bright colors except in Gore-Tex. Yep. Burton AK 3L Hover in Radical Green. Size - XXL. Hardly used, not a mark or tear on it. Impossible to find. Matches lots of light blues quite well. Fits like most XL baggy fit stuff. I'd say it is between a large and XL in Saga. It isn't super wide/baggy, but is plenty long. I am 5'10" 195 lbs (wide shoulders). I am sure it will be asked but the pants are last year's volcom light blue pants. Not for sale. Anyway, asking $375 shipped, which is only a tidge more than this year's Saga, and this is Gore-Tex people. Anyway, first to pay is first to get it!

free bump, I'm not a fan of Burton, but I like that jacket, just don't that kinda money for it

You're. And I think so too, thank you.

But it isn't really an argument - 20k versus Gore-Tex. But of course you are entitled to your opinion.

for this year's saga, an entire suit is 400 jackets are 260, 115 dollars isn't a tige.

but the quality of the AK line is way better than sagas clothing, I've had both and I my AK still is like new and keeps me dry. Saga's waterproofing couldn't handle anymore PNW after abot 50 days.

as with all outerwear, you get what you pay for.

who buys outerwear based on the proofing of it? last time i checked we buy clothes based on style. but then again i guess there are kids who spend most of their time on their backs or face while skiing so i could see why proofing is important.

actual snow huh? i guess sking alta and snowbird isnt good snow these days. all im saying is buy some shell pants and wear some sweats under them or whatever. to lable something as "better" than anything is rediculous. especialy coming from some one that buys burton and skiis.

If you ski at alta or snowbird and don't think about waterproofing at all then you're an idiot. Oh and please come back with "utah has dry snow" because yes it does, but still a 10k-20k pant is gonna get wet with constant contact with snow, especially while sitting on lifts.

Me.

Water proofing is the deciding factor in any outerwear product I buy. Styling comes after I know its at least 15k.

And yeah..snow is in my face a lot when Im skiing the PNW powder...and yes I do fall and like my gear to hold up for the whole day and not get wet.

label. ridiculous. especially. skis.

Anyway, it is isn't ridiculous. The material is more waterproof and more durable. I think better is fair to say. But I wasn't try to set a big argument into motion. But someone who says that waterproofing doesn't matter shouldn't be weighing in on the matter anyway.

To the guy a few above, yes Gore-Tex is a name brand, but they happen to make the best materials. Other companies use other stuff - but it is also cheaper.

Back to the sale.

Well since he can spell and he skis at Alta and Snowbird all year, his opinion is a more valuable than your ridiculous one. Who cares what brand it is? And who likes skiing with soaked pants? What a stupid thing to say...

I do.

Waterproofing is an essential feature in my outerwear, and to compromise on that is totally foolish for skiing anything but the park on sunny days. I don't care what you wear, but I do prefer to stay dry while shredding.

Waterproof fabrics are not equal, and Gore Tex is some of if not the best out there.

Totally worth the price.

ya damn n00bs. this kid knows whats up. i only buy skis that have cool cki graphics, because if your as sick at skiing as i am (which i doubt) then the skis you have dont matter.

its good to know that if i ever spell somthing wrong you will be able to correct it for me, and if you like to correct spelling so much do you mind if i send you my english paper?

At the rate you are going I'd have to charge big bucks for your English paper. Just in that post (for my amusement) - it's, not its. something, not somthing. Run-on sentence, and English is capitalized. I actually don't like it that much, I was just hoping it would help you to not return to this thread, since your sole purpose seems to be annoyance and nothing positive.

Gore Tex Rules, gore tex audience is usually about 30 years of age plus. crazy that burton went out on a limb with a color that most 30 year olds wouldn't rock. But this coat looks legit as fuck, it sucks that there is a battle over the waterproofing of it in the sale.

I never thought it that way, but I think you are totally right about the age deal. I will probably have to toss this on Ebay to get even close to what I want I guess.

Sorry for being grouchy in the thread in any case. I usually try not to judge so much. I'm having a hard day personally :/
