Hey l just want to you know your opinions on what one you preferre or you think is easier?

I have not tried either but l am going to this year so l just want to hear some opinions or if its all preference?

thanks l can do both easy but the frontflip came first try it took a while for the backflip. So l am thinking to try a frontflip.

haha alright well l am not to good at searching than. Haha l will end up trying both l more wanted to know opinions bc once l try one l will get alot of confidence then l will do the other.

we dont get powder where l ski, l would for sure try both but l want to make sure l wont wreck myslef first.

Ya l know, l just think l need to go for it nothing major would happen. Well l was already thinking frontflip bc l think l could do it easier. l am going to 100% commit when l do it.

If you are comfortable backflipping on tramp, diving etc. I would suggest trying one if you're sure you will be able to commit

ya l am planning on trying it on a medium that doesnt have a steeo take off at all but the landing is pretty steep l figured it was best. When l do a backflip it would most likely be off a bigger jump so l get around.

ya l am comfortable on the tramp not so much diving but l wouldnt have a promblem with commiting. But fronttflip feel more comfortable and we have jumps that l think would be perfect for it so l think l will try the frontflip but thanks l will keep that in mind

Airbag?? I learned my first backflips/attempts on an Airbag. It takes all the fear out, and is just as well because I landed on my head about 4 times :( 2 Reasons - I suck, and i'm 6ft 5 so can blame that somehow...
Good luck!

I personally think frontflips are easier because it's easier for me to throw my body forward than backwards of a jump, backflips feel awkward for me to be honest

This! I personally haven't done any flips on skis but I can backflip on flat and off walls and I definetly can't frontflip on the ground. With a backflip you can spot your landing unlike front flips wher you come in blind. This make stomping you feet down easier going backwards.

lincoln loops are the easiest cause you can spot the landing the whole time and its easy to bail onto your side. Back flips are by far the most fun when you can do them tho

for me backflips are by far easier... just build a little booter with loads of kick and its so easy to get the rotation and you can spot the landing alot easier than on front.. but front are fine if you have some pow and just like launch off a cat track or whatever... one ski at a time just roll it forward.. but backs are easier..

Tank you for all you replys helping alot been practicing alot on the tramp and l am going to go for one soon, right now l am thinking front but still not sure yet we will have to soon.

k i know how to backflip but where i struggle is turning them from a quicker flip into a slow layed out flip that looks all steezy...whenever i have tried to do it i feel like im going to stop rotating midway and then i tuck up a bit and end up over-rotating anyone have the same problem

I have been gearing myself up to do a front or back this year, I find back flips way easier, i feel like i can see where im going better, atleast on a tramp.

I highly recommend watching tech talk in NSTV, TechTalk, like episode 11 or 10 ish? theyre right next to eachother, punch front and backflip. Very helpful (atleast the backflip video is)

everyone has been saying backflip because you can see the landing earlier but is it much of a difference? or is it all preference? cause frontflip feels easier to me but l will probably try both.

Frontflip may feel easier because it's less scary to throw where you're seeing, and it's what came first on tramp, but backflips are much much much much easier, frontflips now feel much more awkward for me on tramp and elsewhere, especially that I can't see my landing. Backflip for sure!

that would have hurt, what size of jump did you try it off of? l am now thinking backflip because the reasons you guys have given are pretty good and now that l think about it, it makes sense.

Today I took my balls outside and put them at the top of my hill, dropped in, fell a few times but eventually learned how to frontflip. I may go out tomorrow and learn how to backflip but if you try a frontflip before you go off the jump lead with one of your feet forward and push off that foot. Its hard to explain but if your confident and don't care about if you fall and get hurt a little you should be fine. Good luck and make sure you stomp the shit out of it! hahah
