Do you guys think there's a need for the front page (the page that you go to when you type newschoolers.com)? I was just thinking that I have the first news page as my home. So when I open my browser, I'm automatically a guest and already in the site. Then I just log in using the boxes on the left.

Do you think that when people type Newschoolers.com, it should just go to the News page?

You should keep the opening page, but not linked to the premium content.

oh and i also noticed that the background colour on that page conflicts the background colour of the graphic on the page, it might just be me though

I like intro pages. In my opinion, a nice but simple one looks more professional. If you got rid of it though, people who stumble onto this site may be more inticed to look around. I know that I never log into a site (even as a guest) when I just stumble upon it. I think most the industry know about the site anyway though. Keep it the way it is.

Perhaps a link off the page directly to the forums???? Like the quick-links part! Also, after you've read the premium content once, you just skip by it so...unless it will change constantly then I would suggest a different approach, other than that, the site is dope! Pic of the day would be great or profile on members, skiers???? I don't know!

ya you should keep it the same but have like a pic or interview of the day type of thing. I like it now because it takes no time to download onto my screen , just keep it simple!

 
Ya, have the login page and include a little something to entice new members. Keep the LOKA$H piece and the login shit and add a pic of the day or something. Maybe something that tells everyone about the latest trailer added to the site or something. They can always login as guests, so keep it simple but interesting. The hook, line, and sinker should still be on the inside.

i think to some guests it is a bit intimidating to see the logo and the login boxes. I think the first impression is, 'awwww, thats gay, you have to login?' for some people, and they steer away from the rest of the site, because they think it is too much of a pain in the ass.

I think linking it into the site is a good idea, but rather than the news page, put some sort of homepage in the main table, for example the NS.com logo that is on the front page now. Below that, if it doesnt look too cluttered, add like breaking news, but not too much content to keep it clean.

also, the layout on this site is fucking awesome. It looks so organized and professional, which many ski sites lack.

I quite like the intro page as it is, it doesn't really need anything much done to it really, it looks professional and everything. Maybe a quote or something would look quite cool yeah.
