How does everyone feel about Big Boulder doing regular park updates on the front page? I know that they were talking about last season and thought they would wait for this season. WIth a projected (weather permitting) opening only a month away. What do you think?

think if there is one slot open for PA it should go to sno. seeing as how they have events for skiers and arent total fuckin idiots. and a more promosing park.

Careful Dan.. Sno is on the hype wagon right now, I am not convinced, it seems thier heart is in the right place and they want to compete for the park rats currently going to Boulder. I just don't believe that the execution will be equal to the hype. The Salomon Jib Academy isn't all that. It is a cool thing to do to go hang out at, but don't get your expectations to high on it. I am fairly certain that a bunch of VT and MA Academy kids will be down for it.

Boulder has been quiet, well mainly cause "they" have been focusing on Mt Snow and Attitash. They are headed back down as of today. Word is they aren't releasing anything preseason because they don't want thier ideas stolen. Weather permitting the target date is Mid November! Skier comps need to be supported by ski gear companies. Frankly, I doubt Ian has much contact in that area, nor is he probably motivated to work on it. sooooooo see my other thread!

we were going for a visit until a couple of nips friends said don't bother. it was early season Mid January or so. I have confidence that Boulder will still have the most and best features for the ticket.

whoa whoa whoa....jesse no longer has a black bandana!?

on another note, i'm listening to that exact cd right now haha

hahahahahahahaahaha nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo attitash and snow might be blowing snow as soon as they can as in the next week or so. believe it.. peak resorts is all about opening as early as they can!

Boulder will have to wait till mid november, PROVIDED it is cold enough to blow!!!

yep. the 'tash is definitely gearing up for winter. started blowing on the 30th. good thing peak ended all the community programs there so my grandparents don't have a job teaching kindergarteners how to ski instead of taking gym anymore. yay peak! ..seriously though, they're REALLY pissing off the locals.

I agree with Dan. I have a feeling sno will be a lot better then BB this year. But the only thing is, we have no riders, and only a handful of good ones. BB doesn't have all the hype people thing on their skiier scene. Skiers from different states will go there and see it's just a huge group of creek snowboarders who ride their daily.

I think sno is going to notch it up another level but in over all quality and quantity they will be second best at best. Just my prediction and a lot of times individuals like certain types of set ups better than other.

Bould is ran by snowboarders primarily and the new owners of Sno are skiers so I am sure that we will continue to see that migration/progression of the individual hills' focus.

It is already apparent with Sno hooking up with Salomon for the Jib Academy and Boulder doing snowboard events. It sucks for skiers at Boulder but I can understand that thye just don't have the solid contacts the way they do with snowboarding.

I hope Sno focuses on thier jumps this season, they need help in that area, given the majority of the comments and feedback that I heard. Boulder is still on the lame kick of letting the park speak for itself. I am close to accepting that that is just the way they are.
