Yeah, i can do fronts on tramps and on a big diving board, like superman style is soo easy for me to do. I wanna do my first off of a lofty 30 foot table at my local hill, ne tips? i know to dedicate and no pussin out, and tuck, but idk...

o yea people have been sketchen me out by sayen therr mad hard, and backs are easier, but there wrong...right?

depends on what kind of jump, if its a kicker a backflip is way easier, if its a booter i dont think it would be to hard

'Aw fuck it Dude, lets go bowl'

slit throat

backs, fronts, switch rodeo 9s, all pretty east tricks. Just pop hard and land on your feet, dont forget to pop then flip

ive tryed them b4 they are hard, its easy to get around the hard part is landing i always landed way backseat and layin on the skis, it really kills the shins so get ready for pain

i tried a front flip last year into powder and i landed way backseat and hairline fractured my shins, couldn't ski for 2 1/2 weeks, it sucked, so commit.

Ya, it fucks the shins up thats fer shure, but ppl tellin u that bakcs are easier wernt lying. fronts just feel slow when u are in the air, and when i do a back, i hardly fell anything til i touch donw on ground, but ya, if its a kicker thats way carved out, dont try a front for the first time

Fuck Snowboarders

see people that dont land front flips its probley casue you are mostly just going of the jump and flipping forward, u need to pop, extend, then flip. I cant garrenty you wont underotate cause ive only done one front flip on snow, they are extreamly gay and i just did it to prove to myself that i could do them.

fronts are easier if you commit, just do it off of a big jump with a soft landing because you will probably land it backseat

back country kicker is the only place ill do them. i would never do one in the park

and more, much more than this, I did it my way

I have no trouble doing laid out fronts off a diving board or flipping on a tramp. I figured I would have no trouble doing them off a water ramp. But no, all I could pull is three loud smacks as my back hit the water...

So yeah, it's alot different on skis.

they both are ballsy, but you definitely cant knock the old school value of the frontflip, its a sick trick

i hate front flips..they fuckin hurt most of the time....backflips = easier + better looking

The only enemy agaist progression is FEAR!

Backflips are deadly, i've never tried them on snow after I fell of my trampoline.

But if you do a frontflip with some kind of nice grab it feels really cool.

I think the worst part is the landing, in the beginning it's impossible to land right, but after a while they will be easy too...

The caveman...

I really dont understand how people cant do backflips, even on a trampoline. Are they THAT scary? Like my friends come over, and can do mistys, lincolns, the whole works of inverted tricks, but are scared to death of backs.

Jesus, backs are the easiest thing in the world, just look backwards and youll do them without even trying.

On skis its a little different, but once you get over the mental thing theyre easier then 360's

Cruz - not everyone on this planet is as gifted and blessed as you. A backflip isn't exactly a natural motion for humans and I'm sure when you did your first backflip on a tramp you were slightly scared.

But for fronts when I do mine I like to rock back and put my hands behind my head and then throw my body forward and adjust to the jump accordingly. Just don't throw it too hard... I did that and it landed me in the 'pital. Hit the jump many times to get a feel for it.

'I bought an antfarm once. Them fellers didn't grow shit'.

okay tips all rounf, it looks goofy but do it anyways and I garuntee a land or a overrotate but its hard. first off smaller then 30 feet is better. Second keep your arms in from and knees bent slightly, think about the tramp rotation. When you hit the lip of the jump pop and atthe same time pop your arms straight out, then when you feel it tuck your arms into a ball and rotate liek a front flip, you'll feel it comin arounf then open andstomp. I suggest pow but it no pow thena small jump coz evena butt landing isnt gonna be to bad. It took 2 tries and I got it then next step is szocs crossed up chilled style, badda boom badda bing. cheers

WHERE ARE YOU HOIET

i just started to do fronts last week, and the first ones were killing me, but i was only doing it off of like a 10 ft drop

Saturday night and you're still hangin' around

Tired of livin' in your one-horse town

Like to find a little hole in the ground

For a while

So you go to the village in your tie-dye jeans

And you stare at the junkies and the closet queens

It's just like some pornographic magazine

And you smile

Captain jack will get you high tonight

And take you to your special island

Captain jack will get you by tonight

Just a little push and you'll be smilin'

if i were u id try them off a cat track into powder or off a jump into powder then move to the tables

I wouldn't think tables would be very good for fronts because if you're not comfortable with the motion you'll probably rotate before popping. If that happens you'll fall down more than out and need some room to not smash your face. I think gaps or drops are better. Either way practice on a tramp or diving board until you do it without even thinking. About the shin issue... if your boots are the right size and you buckle them tight it should help some.

exactly

thats what i was thinking

and its what i thought when a did my first back

and u know what

it was true

"o yea people have been sketchen me out by sayen therr mad hard, and backs are easier, but there wrong...right?"

no those people have got it right. Fronts are mad death and backs are 5 times easier than 360s

Or you could do a switch back. Those look pretty nice, but again if it's a kicker that would set you up for a backflip then it might be kinda hard. We had a kid at my local hill throw a switch back on a kicker last year and he had to throw everything into it to get it around but it was the sickest thing I saw all year.

I can do front flips pretty good after some practice, the most important thing is to comit to the spin. there are a few front flips done by some amatuers including me on www.runjumpfly.net in the movie 'chasing winter' check it out

Here's what I recommend. Find a small hill, (with snow) now while wearing sneakers run until u get to the top of the hill, jump and flip. it helps u get the feel for the rotation plus its fun as hell.

i might never get over a mental block i have on lincolns since i bit through my lip mising one, so... it's understandable.
