Freitchi Freeride bindings, anyone ride them?

They kick ass, I use them on K2 Seth Pistols and Work Stinx. The little plastic heel lift on the back can break and I always cary an extra one just in case, but I have not broken them yet and really think they are a good product. Get the extra springs so they aren't so floppy and you'll love them.

 
thats my exact (hopefull) set up, seth pistols with fretchi freerides, whats the extra spring you speak of? other then that they are burly tho? i will be riding switch, and park every now and agian so i need something that will take a little abuse, but heal plates are no big deal.

 
The bindings take some getting used to. They are quite a bit lifted off the skis. My first run on them was on Mt Rainer, I got caught in a tiny little avalanche and could barely stand on the things so be carefull where you use them at first. You'll get them in a run or less.

They certanly are burly though. Both me and most my touring partners are around 6 feet tall and some of us are over 200 lbs. we rip them and they hold up. The little springs I'm talking about connect the toe of the binding to the ski and act like a telemark binding spring preventing the tail of the ski to hang like dead weight when you turn arround. they help...

 
dude dont do that, over time it will delam. I have a pair of seth pistols 189 with Freerides. such a killer setup bling bling!

 
i was thinking about the whole tail kit thing, i decided that i would try and rig up some sort of clamp system where i would mount 2 little clamps about half an inch from the center of the tip so it would stay square. how lifted are they? i ride some pretty lifted skis, and dont seem to bother me.

 
The Seth Pistols have the rivet in the tail already so it won't delam. Notching them for skins won't make it happen. But you shouldn't have to notch them if you set it up right, ie, dump that system and use a tip loop.

 
The notch seem to work fine for me, but my friends at Pro ski recomended I try the G3 tip loop on both ends of the skins...that may work well. And depending on where you ski you may not even need a tail atachment, I ski out west and when I'm skiing our wet spring snow I absolutly need something solid to keep my skins on...

Concerning the lift, it's about an inch if memory serves right...

 
this is the idea i was having, it would create a notch so that the clip would not slide off to eather side.

yea, i was just thinking put like 15 1/2 inch wide strips of duct tape on it to build it up like 1/4inch so that it cant slip of left or right.
