Freestyle teams in MA/NH

This season is winding down, but next season I was thinking about joining a freestyle program at a local hill. I'm just getting into park skiing and I just want to get better and learn new stuff, I don't want to be entering comps or anything like that. I'm just looking to improve. Anyone know of any programs at some local hills Massachusetts or NH (preferably southern nh, but whatever). Thanks for any input.

Can anyone send me a linke info about Waterville? And i dont want to go to an academy full time, i just want to go somewhere on weekends to ski and get better, something pretty casual....

they have a weekend program that runs with their school program too, so you can do however much you want, but its probably on their website

I don't really understand the team thing. Isn't it easer, cheaper, and more fun to just meet some people that you can progress with. It always seem like the teams i see, all they do is just was in lines and take forever to get through the park. It seems like people are just paying to be 'friends' with other skers....but whatever.

ummmmm, coaching? yeah, that's a huge part of it.

To the op, if you want something casual, look at mount snow's developmental program. No competitions, just a group meeting 8-2 on sat and sun., getting tips from instructors. You might have an idea what discipline of freestyle you prefer, and that's where a team can really help you in either slope, pipe, moguls, even aerials. In order of best programs (IMO) - CVA, WVA, MSA, Gould, Holderness, vermont academy.

check out mt snow freestyle development team. its a little pricy, but a ton of fun, its 8 to 12:45 on weekends and holidays. its a great group of kids and awesome coaches with no pressure to compete. i logged alot of hours in Mt. snow development teams/ work at MS now so PM me if you need any info.

I talked to three nice local kids and two said the coach is a control freak, sucking the fun out of skiing by demanding that they all go pro. just second hand review, but they hated it

wow. ive had a great experience with my coaching so far. i guess they've been on the team longer and are starting to get sick of it

This year the Whalebck Core team, was ranked the best freestyle team in NH by USSA. its at least half the price of WV and has night skiing. there is also a kid who wears all red who rides blue hills MASS just ask him and he will give u coaching. I came out of the WV program and can say if you are not there full time it is not worth the money.
