Freeskiing and racing

hej

just wanted to ask how you see the whole subject now that daron rhalves is showing up on hit list i just think the fight between tanner and bode/daron is so unnecessary i'm a racer but i love to powder and going to the parks in my free time me and my friend decided to do kind of a freeski/racing movie about the next season i think those two things could be very cool put together the racers couls be a bit easier going (i have a lot of fights with my coaches about my clothing my pipe sessions after training on the glaciers etc) and the freeskiers couls also learn lot of things about skiing and speed in the end everybody is just trying to have fun outthere in the snow are there any other racers hope you're not going to verbally kill me for this post and sorry for my english

 
a racing movie? i cant imagine how watching racing would be since i cant even stomach watching big mountain.

reabow - I like where your coming from but I think you might be wasting your time with it on NS as there seems to be way too many close minded tossers. Racing is like park, or any other sport in that it is an awesome feeling if you are good at it. Most of the skiiers who bitch about racing prob aint that shit hot at racing so dont see the fun. it would be fun to watch if u had alot of recks, but otherwise i other think racing is fun to watch live

ima x-racer too, and i agree that racing can teach u alot especialy just how to ski well wich alota park rats don't know jack about - that being said a racing/freeskiing movie still isn't my kinda thing

ya i saw a racer eat it like at the bottom of the hill were he was going like as fast as he could go he broke like both his legs and his arm racing crashes are worse than like if i took a digger on a huge table top

aww i need a cool signature so i can be cool so ever one will like me if i had a cool signature then if i like saw some chicks from ns they would be like hey theres the kidd with the cool signature let give him a blow job and it would be like the hotest chick on ns hey this is kinda starting to look like a signature dang well i geuss i have a cool signature makeing this signature usless becacase u have a cool signature but if i delete in then i wont so i would need it think about that one almost filled now

yeah i raced up to last year and it is a lot of fun at times. anyone that knows anything about skiing realizes the talent involved at higher levels.

i can race my friends down the mountain on my twins WITHOUT spandex, i'm happy with freeskiing.

well that is the point "park rats" have their own style which makes them really unique, pf no one wants to be a dron and all ski the same way, look at cadide that guy poll plants off like every jump but he is freaking sick, and tanner has got a wicked wide stance, no one wants to be the same as the next person, that is why park skiing is at it'a all time high, because we aren't like every other racer.

and the raceing movie idea... i think i would get bored with it the first minute it sadley enough...

 
racing isn't my thing and probably not a whole lot of people on this website... movies about racing would seem kinda boring, but thats to me, if thats the part of skiing you like man more power to ya

^^^ i agree if thats what you like to do thats great. but freeskiing and racing is like water and oil they just don't mix. most freeskiers enjoy skiing for the "free"dom it gives them to do what they want. unlike the intensely regimented training of a racer. yes racers can go fast around gates but any freeskier can go fast as well they just prefer to do it off of jumps and down difficult lines and not around gates on groomer. sorry but i think that idea is officially squashed. not to mention watching viedos of someone doing a course .00342 seconds faster than another person isn't really that fun to watch. in fact it kind of reminds me of uncle rico's video from napoleon dynamite.

Lots of top freeskiiers are ex-racers, Jeremy Nobis (probably the fastest free skiier you will see ripping AK lines) competed on the US national team at the 1994 olympics etc. I think Hugo, Seth and McConkey had race experience? As long as you are having fun skiing that is what count, but it is just ignorant and stupid to talk smack about racing like Hall did this season, yes he is better at doing tricks than Rahlves/Bode, but no he is not a better skier, not even close overall, in fact from his segment in Yearbook he sucks at freeskiing.

i racer tuck into jumps when i need speed becasue its way faster than the mini bomb or whatev and racers do it and they r the masters of speed so it should be the fastest way
