and since when did kris ostness decide to turn "pro" again and start repping brands??

skiing is lame. lets all quit. wtf holden? wtf shitty magazine? get your act together skiing. my heart hurts.
 
Holden is going to start selling to skiers (by that I mean start selling to ski shops). I don't think they have any plans to sign a team. But they know that if they are going to sell high end outerwear, they have to sell some of it to skiers.

putting holden in freeskier is like putting burton in freeskier. burton is all over, but its not a ski brand and they don't target skiers. just like holden. i wish they did though...

who here thought that freeskier and powder were lacking?? i definitely did, like always.
 
Well I talked to a couple people at Holden after I saw it in Freskier. And they want to be an outerwear company. Not just a Snowboard outerwear company. And yes they have sold to shops that carried skis and snowboard. But they are going to select a few ski only shops to go after to test the market. I think it is a good move and I already wore the gear before that. I just don't think the mass skier is ready for a brand like Holden. The average young skier still want to wear pants and jackets that are 2 sizes to big. I wish they would sign some skiers to the brand to get a more styled look to skiing. But until then it looks like Surface is still the most modern thinking brand out there. Sorry that was kind of all over the place. But I think I typed what I meant.

So I just got my copy of Freeskier...and Ummm I am a little confused.

While I have repeatedly tried to get Kris Ostness to come out of retirement and ski professionally for the past few years He is not on our team...I love the guy and respect his opinions but I am pretty sure he's still wearing Helly Hansen actually.

anyway..I sent freeskier a copy of our skiers and catalog...Blake Nyman and Brandon Becker were named as our 2 pro riders. I confirmed it on the phone....somehow...I don't have a clue as to how...Ostness is named on our team and blake is left off

...someone is definitely getting a letter
