Freeride skis?

oh haayyyyyy ladies!

In the market for some freeride skis and was wondering if any of you had suggestions? I've demoed some rossi's and k2 remedies but the shop in my town has limited supply of skis for big mtn, and "womens" stuff in general (I'm fine skiing a guys ski, just need to narrow down the choices). Trying to find a ski that can cut crud and not get too chattery with speed - let me know if you have tried any skis that you love!

I've been demoing the Atomic Milleniums, pretty much the girl version of the bentchetlers. And they're sooo much fun. I'm about 5'6 and ride the 169s, tested out the 177s yesterday but they were a bit too big for me in tight trees. Anyways, they're 110 underfoot and rockered tip and tail with pretty close to a true twin. Cruising through the foot of fresh snow on these was probably my best day of skiing in life. Landing off of small jobs was so smooth and they just floated in the snow. The cons are because they're so jibby, groomers kind of suck on them, they're not so much chattery, but you hit any sort of bumpiness and you'll definitely feel the rocker. I'm actually in the works of writing up a full review of these so I'll shoot the link here when I'm done!

I'm riding the VJJs and I am in love with them for big mountain. They do chatter on hardpack for sure but they are more than worth it in the powder. I tend to just take them out on powder days (which has been every day here lately) and in some backcountry and they have been a dream. I've been just making myself still use them on some hardpack so I can get used to learning their feel and controlling them better and it's definitely working. They're really fast too and I have skied on some wet, heavy snow and they handle it really well.

Rad thanks girls! I'll look those up. I know of some pow skis I like but also checking around for skis that can handle crap conditions well and with some speed.

Also, is anyone else doing FWQ's this season? I'll be at two of the Crested Butte ones, hopefully I can sneak my way into the 4* also, maybe one at Snowbird and I'm going to do the SFS at Big Sky! I'd love to take a run if anyone will be around for those!

As far as bigger name brands go you could check out the Blizzard Bodacious and perhaps the Rossignol Squad 7. I've been skiing on Kitten Factorys lately which could possibly fit the bill. Unfortunately most of the skis that get marketed toward women lack the dampness and stiffness that a good big mountain freeride ski would have, and a lot of skis that do have those characteristics are only made in HUGE sizes.

Yea a lot of the ones I've tried are way to soft for freeride, and then of course ski resorts don't have much to try out because those aren't the type of skis that sell to tourists

4FRNT Madonnas. I'm too dry k to explain why- but I promi to follow thru with a review.

Hands down one of my fav skis.
