Freeride poles

I was wondering if anyone could point me to a good freeride pole that is fairly cheap and well made (won't bend easy). Thanks.

Well cheap and won't bend don't go together. Line poles are okay for their price. Scott poles are more expensive but I've never bent a pair

Step 1: Go to local ski swap/ used sporting good store.

Step 2: Buy a pair of longer poles for very cheap.

Step 3: Cut them down to desired length and spray paint with outdoor paint if wanted.

Your welcome. I just saved you $25.

Thats how i got my park poles... Kinda look like mad owl poles and if you put a clear auto enamel on it, they will stay fairly scratchless.

What do you use for new grips? or do you use the same grips.

I was thinking wrapping road bike tape would work good. It might be too thin though

Just twist the old grips off and reuse them. Road bike tape would be way too thin unless you have midget hands.

Try and find k2 composite poles if you can not to expenisive but they will just about never break

I do this. I find old free poles and cut them to the desired length. I have 2 sets of scott grips that I rotate onto the new poles once the old ones break/bend badly.

Then I have adjustable ones for backcountry skiing.

BD makes a sick fixed length carbon pole that has its lower section wrapped in Kevlar to keep it from getting chewed up by your edges. Obviously not cheap but totally rad
