Freeride Comp in Utah

Ehh...

Hey there fellow Utahan's.

Utah is home to some of the best pow as everyone here can attest to, my question here is today if there was a Freeride competition here in Utah this season where would you guys like to have it happen at?

Mountains and location on the mountain is greatly appreciated and any feedback about what would make this event rad is more than welcome.

(Begin Face palm) Look you put stupid shit like this up your are going to ridiculed to the max. If you say that you are from utah and enjoying the best snow and terrain on earth then you would know that one of the biggest and longest freeride/freeski events takes place every winter at snowbird. It is a three day comp that has seen the likes on Ian Macintosh, Sage, McConkey, and a laundry list of other big pros compete in it back in the day. It happens on The Cirque and North Baldy. After looking at what you are promoting and who you are I can see that you are just a young buck with wild aspirations of creating something big and fun. While that cause is noble the fact that you wildly post without any research into the question makes you and your goal look like a lost cause. Good luck and research before wildly posting!

I appreciate the honesty with this. When I first read your post it made me a little upset but once I digested it a little longer it made sense. What would you like a better direction on this would be? Because I agree the way it is right now its just seems very poser.

its allll about the kitten factory invitiational when gad 2 closes at snowbird....just you wait...best time of the year

I would more go with looking at something different, an invitational in the BC, a filming comp, or even something original. Freeride comps are extremely hard to make worth it, I would know because I have worked on them and with smaller start up events as well.... In all reality just do something that is fun, that your friends want to do and Film/document it in anyway. The example that I would use is the Dexter Rutecki Matt Gold annual memorial Pond skim on Andersons at the bird....

That sounds like a great idea, I just know from my company I work for standpoint they want to do something serious to show that we are legit and credable. But I think you're absolutely right when it comes to starting out in the buisness of compitions. Its just tough to relay that vision across.
