One time I was asked to try candy from a nice bearded fellow in a van. The candy must have been really good because I don't remember anything anything after it!

you left your skis in the airport because you didnt want to spend $60 on excess baggage?

im in van but its still an hour drive through gnarley traffic to get there. what year ar7s?

excess baggage can be pretty expensive. They wanted to charge me over $200 for my ski bag being overweight. ended up leaving a pair

She speaks the truth. Especially if the baggage is oversized, then it gets even worse. I think with Delta it's like 200-300 extra depending on where you're flying to.

I think my surfboard coast me 100 maybe even 110 each way to go from NY to CA. That was maybe 5 years ago. The last time I went out there for long enough to kick it and surf I said fuck it and just rented a board from a shop. Thought about buying a board and then selling it before I left but was only out for a few weeks.

So instead of paying the excess you're going to spend another $700 on brand new gear

Nice assumption dumbshit. He said they were pretty beat. Sounds like he was buying new stuff regardless.

So why pay more to keep a pair of shitty skis around when you could save $60 and give them away to an NS'er for fr

So much of it is luck with airlines...

I flew back from LA to London two days ago after a year at MSU and my ski bag was almost 40kg, several kilos over Virgin's 23kg,1 pair per passenger policy, I thought I was doomed but the nice lady let them on for free, I have absolutely no idea why.

Big up yourself if you're out there and you work for Virgin at LAX! I figured only a NS'er would allow a transatlantic passenger flight to be overloaded for the sake of my pon2oons
