I don't benefit from this by the way, just a PSA.

If anyone is interested in a pre-season ski training program, I put one together on bodyspace from bodybuilding.com. You can find it by downloading the bodyspace app and looking up "pre-season ski training", or since bodyspace is a pain in the ass that doesn't always work, search programs made by "skiercam". There are two programs that are the exact same with the same name because again, bodyspace can be a pain in the ass. You can check it out at the link below anyway.

Just as a note, this is not a program for beginners as is but obviously you can modify it to fit your fitness level. You should have basic knowledge of form and technique for squats and deadlifts to do the workouts safely.

Enjoy

Nice outline for sure. It def gave me a few new ideas, have you ever considered one legged lifts instead two? Point being skis do not always fire at the same time. Just a thought, otherwise good stuff!

Totally. The one leg lifts are awesome for hitting the stabilizers. Again, I probably wouldn't recommend them to a beginner but they are a great addition to any workout. I find a good, safe place to start increasing weight for single leg lifts is leg press. Just move the catch up to a safe spot so if your muscles fail there's pretty well no chance of injury. The one leg squats and deadlifts I have a tough time with and I'll admit I don't go for them very often. I find lunges on a bosu or upside-down bosu are also great for isolating stabilizers. I've been working on bodyweight pistol squats too but damn they are hard!
