So back in April, Mr. Jeff Schmuck was kind enough to invite me to come check out the Jon Olsson Super Sessions in Åre, Sweden for a week and photograph some of the sickest skiing of the year. Completely stoked on the photos, I had offered a few of them up as Desktop Backgrounds (Get 'em HERE!) as a kind of "thanks" to the NS.com community. Now, I want to go a step further. I had tried this a week ago on a thread that I had made about my "First (ski) Photo" but I think it got lost in the mix, so I'm going to try this again:

The person who has the 100th "1st" (no spam) post on my Kapitol

Photography Facebook page's wall will get a 11x14 print of their

choosing of one of the JOSS Backgrounds I posted on my blog a while

back. It's a limited edition print as it'll probably be the first run printing of any of the shots.

Heck, maybe I'll even throw in a 4x6 of my very first photo too!

Tim Treadwell gets himself a 5x7 for being the first to claim "1st" on the Facebook page of Kapitol Photography (Mike Rogge & Jen Merrihew excluded!) . While not the 100th person to claim "1st," I'm still gonna hook him up with something for getting the party started.

Mike and I are now planning a revolt.

No but really, since apparently I can't have one of these fabulous prints, you guys should get on it. Probably one of the easiest contests ever-- and these JOSS prints are dope pictures. Get at it.

We're at a little under halfway. The 100th person to claim "1st" on the Kapitol Photography Facebook fan pages get's a free 11x14 JOSS print 'cause I feel like giving a print away!

Remember, only those who post "first" or "1st" are counted. Any typos are discounted. I'm psyched with the responses so far since this is my "first" contest I've done involving one of my prints. Shout out to Tim Treadwell for claiming the "first" 1st (outside of Rogge & Ms. Merrihew). He gets himself a 5x7.

I'll be releasing a few prints for purchase shortly.
 
Just sent Tim Treadwell of Anchorage Alaska a 5x7 print from JOSS for being the "first" "first." The 11x14 is still up for grabs! Very close to the 100th person to claim on the facebook wall of kapitolphotography.com.

Right. Those people like "Rogge" who posted 100 "1st" doesn't count. It was a bit of a grey area with Max Bailey and Kelsey Clarke. But Paul didn't spam the wall.

Thanks for playing the 100 to "1st" claim game.

If my counting skills are right, the print goes to Paul Quigley, narrowly beating Cheech Sander the sort of Swede. I'll have someone independent count the posts to make sure my math adds up.

Paul, send me a message with your print preference and mailing address and I'll get that out to you asap.

The next contest will coincide with IF3 where I'll be giving out a limited edition tshirt designed by IMAG3 which used one of my photos. Date TBD.
 
next time maybe give the price to 1 of the first 100 ppl, That way it'd be more fair (imho)i'm pretty sure lots of people waited with posting first (which is OK) and then the good people like myself sacrificed their post and posted like 37th or something....
 
Yeah, good idea. I'll have to remember that for next time. This was a little experiment with free stuff & driving site traffic; its good to look at how people interacted with both the blog & facebook pages and how it ultimately led people to my website.
 
I hear yah. Okay first person to find Dan during the NS awards at IF3 steal his shoe and shotgun a bear in in it gets the shirt.
