Frank Ocean's debut album "Channel Orange" recently dropped and I for one, am pretty stoked on it. I personally think he's got a sick sound, and his lyrics are great. SO basically this is a Frank Ocean appreciation thread. Feel free to post your favorite song etc. Also message me for a Download link for the album.

Yeah and there was a huge deal about him being gay, and people not buying his album because of it.

The second I saw "Frank Ocean" that's what came to mind. Regardless, he's an amazing artist, and this song is awesome!

Also, I can't go through the whole song without verbally correcting the "swim good" part, I'm just quietly whispering "swim well*". It ruins the song for me.
 
yeah and it's a weird lyric in the first place, I try to focus on the music and the rest of the song.
 
Channel ORANGE is definitely doing it for me so far. Love Pilot Jones, Forrest Gump, Lost, Crack Rock, Super Rich Kids, and obviously the pre-released tracks Pyramids and Thinking about You(which is a fucking awesome song.)

The album is great but what I'm super stoked on is the Earl Sweatshirt verse in Super Rich Kids. It's not even a super good verse its just there. AHHH can't wait for that album.
 
Also Three Stacks' verse is fantastic. He has a nasty habit of having one verse on people's records and completely upstaging everyone.
 
Him and Domo are the best on Odd Future. Hats off to Frank for having the courage to say it though
 
dont have a problem with him being bi/gay whatever its just that theres such a hypocrisy in the fact that most, if not all of OF is completely against gays..
 
not at all. frank is the second gay member of OF. Syd who produces a lot of their beats is a lesbian. It's just a lot of talk the way I see it.
 
I got it on iTunes. One of my buddies sent me the DL link and not everyone can afford to pay for all of their music.
 
the album is great i downloaded it last night, didn't even know about his sexual preference til i saw this thread. damn if that wasn't the greatest intro to an album ever, and super rich kids is my new jam i love the dude's style.
 
I have loads of respect for him. He is a great artist and a talented person. But that's just not my type of music.

i love this album, its tight as fuck, but nostalgia, ultra was better IMO. anyways, frank needs to rap more, he is sooo smooth. makin bitches wet n shit.

Although I'm not really a Frank Ocean fan, that's lame as fuck that people are using his sexual orientation as an excuse to not buy his album.

THIS! his singing is amazing, but when he raps it's so damn good, i wish he'd do it more.
 
he's not "gay", he just admitted his first love was with a guy. he's been with many women since, so i'd consider that bi. everyone's just going around saying he's gay which isn't necessarily true.

'Blasted' is one of my favorites from him.

Idk forrest gump is the only one that is talking about a guy and would be considered gay no matter what. If he didn't explain all of this before than people would assume that thinking about you was about a girl
 
He's big, not gay, for everyone saying he's gay. Us big people totally need more ambassadors like this.

Remember y'all, its not a phase, its the real deal, and its fucking hard when societally, were given two choices - gay and straight. Its like were outlaws... outlaws that have a lot of really good sex and totally fulfilling relationships.
