The terrorists are attacking America and American Culture, other countries are tied up in it because America has a grasp of them commercially, financially and politically. America should have known and acted upon the hated building for them in the Middle East and South Asia. 2. The US supplies Israelis with weapons and additional funding to fight the muslim based palestine. Survival for their culture, and justice.
3. The taliban was extremely oppressive, and exactly 7 months earlier before 9/11, the UN decided to not do anything about the situation in afghanistan. It was suggested that this was a last outcry for help to remove the government.
4. Money. Saudi arabia also funded the terrorist organizations, or so i gathered from the blacked out pages of a report. Why would you block them out if they did nothing wrong? Because of 9/11 a larger demand for oil was created as more people started using cars instead of planes. More demand=more profit.
5. The 1st iraqi war. Its ok if the US goes into a nation to change its government, but as soon as Iraq tries to, its not allowed, because they arent as powerful. So 9/11 was trying to prove the US is vulnerable.
6. Iran. I still consider the past 35 or so years in Iran as the bloodiest situation in the middle east. The US instated the Shah that time ago.
7. Jihad. Holy war, its against the most powerful christian nation in the world.

but some of ur ideas make sense others dont and the most recognized idea is the jihad which if this is terrorists reasons we are fucked because what it is extrimsts who interpret the Koran(spelling??) in short that they are supposed to wage a war and kill those who do not follow thier practices and releigion and go agaisnt the Koran the biggest expamle as Petak said the US but they also go as far as oppressing other muslims who do not support their exreme measures and intreprt the Koran peacefully...So the only way i see that we can combat that is a war (not saying the IRaqi war is it) but some sort of attack is neccesarry.

yeah mocking other countries outloud is not the way we should carry ourselves. live and let live. the french didn't believe in that policy and now look...they're getting some of their own. Dude, there won't be any 'union' left pretty soon. Spain is gone, France and Germany were never for it. Blair is looking more and more isolated in Europe and his re-election is looking more and more dubious (the only thing on his side at the moment is the lack of a serious opposition candidate). Bush is taking a pounding over everything but 'the war'. The eastern european countries that have troops in the middle east under the 'coalition' will likely buckly to pressure to pull them out, this pressure will be from the EU, which they just got accepted into a couple of days ago. The union is pretty much gone dude, it's looking more and more like America and Britain are about to stand alone on this, maybe just America.

They don't care about the US pressure, the fact is that they have just joined the EU. They aren't about to stick around to help the US who have manipulated the fact that these eastern europeans will work for cheaper and will sell for less. These countries are now part of one of the worlds biggest trade networks, if not the biggest, and they are now going to be able to charge competitive prices. They won't endanger this by hanging around in the Middle East. The US isn't putting any real pressure on them anyways, why would the states need a country like Poland? You see what I'm saying? The US's foreign policy and trade standards are turning around and biting them in the balls, and so they should, the US has abused it's position. I doubt many people would disagree with that.
